Hello,

Sorry but the sharing icons you show in the image are not theme specific. They are most likely an external plugin. Here is how the theme sharing options position: https://www.screencast.com/t/rZ5KrZW982dR

Thank you!

Hi,
If you want to move the comments you will have to edit the post templates as they are hard-coded in the theme files. You will have to edit ech post style files for every post template you use. Each post template has 2 files corresponding to it.
You will have to move the comments from one file and move them over to the other below the sharing like so:
This is an example for the default post style:
1) Cut the comments code https://www.screencast.com/t/tHoSfqGzYQ
2) Paste the code like so: https://www.screencast.com/t/ny83HhzaYX

You will have to do this for multiple post styles depending on how many you use on your site.

Thank you!

Hello,

You can either remove it from the theme code if you are comfortable editing the theme files: https://www.screencast.com/t/Rq7DPEc3aMuf (there are 2 instances of that code, one for the top sharing options and one for the bottom ones.)
Or as an alternative you can hide it with css like so:
.td-post-sharing .td-social-pinterest{
display:none;
}

Thanks.

Hello,

Sorry but it seems instagram does not have a sharing button itself. We use the api of the social networks but if the network does not have such a button, we cannot provide it. Here are more details:

Hi
I have the default sharing options in posts, but I need Instagram instead Pinterest. I can’t find where to administrate this. Can you help me?

Hi,

There is no option to change the font icons used in the sharing. These are predefined in the theme, and at the moment you cannot replace them.

Thanks

Thanks travisnw & Maui No Ka for sharing your thoughts.
The problem really seems to be related to the inclussion of the new Tagdiv composer., as it’s the main new feature of the theme.
I’ll wait a bit longer before updating to v.8.0. till these problems are detected and solved by the Tagdiv team.
Cheers!

Hi, I would like to use Slider on homepage,
but Post title doesn’t look well on slider.
I usually write title on thumbnails to attract more attention
while sharing on social media. But together with slider’s post title
they look very scrambled. is it possible to add a solid or transparent
background only for the post title text (not on full thumbnail image) on slider?
thanks.
you can also check how it looks on my site. http://www.ailevecocuk.net

thanks

Hello atalhoy,

You sohuld try using the code below and place it in Theme panel->Cusotm CSS Area.

The correct code, using the right sharing classes ->

.td-social-google, .td-social-pinterest {
display:none!important;
}

The result is here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/czrRN9dl3A

hi,

Thank you for the reply i understand how the average works but as i mention before if i were to put values where the average value has many decimal places it will not round off the numbers to a one decimal place.

As for the background ad i am using the default method to implement image as you can see here:

Background ad image: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BwPRrE-2X3k-RWllZm9TN0R2LVU/view?usp=sharing

Background ad link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BwPRrE-2X3k-dEc3Nk1Iby1JTDA/view?usp=sharing

The scoring system is not a priority but the background ad link is, I really need a solution to that. Please and thank you.

Hi,

It is recommended to use the Yoast SEO plugin to handle Facebook sharing
https://forum.tagdiv.com/facebook-share/
Here are some useful resources that you can use to configure the sharing

Good day all

We’ve been sharing our website articles on facebook without any problem until today. Now when we share an article the image is missing on our facebook page time line. Our website url is http://www.metronews.co.za and our facebook page is https://www.facebook.com/metronews.co.za

The latest two posts are missing images. The 3rd image shows sometimes and sometimes it doesn’t

Hello Berbi,

I do not know what kind of changes you made. Notice that I tested on my side and it seems to work as expected, as you can see here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/vkDCTPQZGl0 The sharing bottom has been placed under the content.

Thanks for your understanding!

Hi,
How to change “More from Author” at the bottom of each post to something else?
See at the end of this post
http://www.badmintonplanet.com/badminton-news/10171-can-lin-dan-compete-top-chef.html

Also, on the same post, when you click “Like” at the bottom “Share” section, the “Like” counter will turn “1”, then immediately turn back to “0”, how to fix this problem?

Hi Catalin,

Sorry, young DIY here :). I tried, but somehow it didn’t work.

As my default post template is “default” http://www.screencast.com/t/WVqhl8xyADA, I opened loop-single.php in /wp-content/themes/Newsmag.

I found the code line http://www.screencast.com/t/dIlv0ivnQmo, now can you let me know where I shall paste it ?

Here is the full code:

<?php
/**
* The single post loop Default template
**/

if (have_posts()) {
the_post();

$td_mod_single = new td_module_single($post);

?>

<article id=”post-<?php echo $td_mod_single->post->ID;?>” class=”<?php echo join(‘ ‘, get_post_class());?>” <?php echo $td_mod_single->get_item_scope();?>>
<div class=”td-post-header td-pb-padding-side”>
<?php echo td_page_generator::get_single_breadcrumbs($td_mod_single->title); ?>

<?php echo $td_mod_single->get_category(); ?>

<header>
<?php echo $td_mod_single->get_title();?>

<?php if (!empty($td_mod_single->td_post_theme_settings[‘td_subtitle’])) { ?>
<p class=”td-post-sub-title”><?php echo $td_mod_single->td_post_theme_settings[‘td_subtitle’];?></p>
<?php } ?>

<div class=”meta-info”>

<?php echo $td_mod_single->get_author();?>
<?php echo $td_mod_single->get_date(false);?>
<?php echo $td_mod_single->get_views();?>
<?php echo $td_mod_single->get_comments();?>
</div>
</header>

</div>

<?php echo $td_mod_single->get_social_sharing_top();?>

<div class=”td-post-content td-pb-padding-side”>

<?php
// override the default featured image by the templates (single.php and home.php/index.php – blog loop)
if (!empty(td_global::$load_featured_img_from_template)) {
echo $td_mod_single->get_image(td_global::$load_featured_img_from_template);
} else {
echo $td_mod_single->get_image(‘td_640x0’);
}
?>

<?php echo $td_mod_single->get_content();?>
</div>

<footer>
<?php echo $td_mod_single->get_post_pagination();?>
<?php echo $td_mod_single->get_review();?>

<div class=”td-post-source-tags td-pb-padding-side”>
<?php echo $td_mod_single->get_source_and_via();?>
<?php echo $td_mod_single->get_the_tags();?>
</div>

<?php echo $td_mod_single->get_social_sharing_bottom();?>
<?php echo $td_mod_single->get_next_prev_posts();?>
<?php echo $td_mod_single->get_author_box();?>
<?php echo $td_mod_single->get_item_scope_meta();?>
</footer>

</article> <!– /.post –>

<?php echo $td_mod_single->related_posts();?>

<?php
} else {
//no posts
echo td_page_generator::no_posts();
}

Hi Amit, do you mind sharing how does the Review section look like on AMP?

Catalin

Hello Berbi,

For example, if you are using the post template style 1, you should edit the loop-single-1.php core file and move the social sharing bottom call like after your text content, like this -> https://www.screencast.com/t/shhPEGkatlE

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the message!

Hi all

I’d like to disable social sharing on a single post on my website ‘Disclaimer’. How do I go about it without disabling sharing on all the posts. I also don’t want the post to appear among other posts on my blog since its not a news article. Thanks

One more thing; How do I disable the login function on my website. I’m using a third party commenting system ‘Disqus’ and not the default one.
