Hello !

Yes you can do that. You can place any element that is available in the composer. So while designing a cloud post template you can place the post sharing in the sticky mode. Only while editing a cloud post template will this be possible, sharing is available only for posts. Also take a look here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/social-sharing-buttons-3/

Thank you !

Everything is right but it’s not working here on my site.
My after article content sharing button setting is of no use. It shows as its working but actually there is no change on main site.

Hi,

If you do not want to show the bottom share on article, you’ll need to go in Theme panel > Post settings> Sharing -> https://www.screencast.com/t/IemdIKJwve8
Also please check our documentation for sharing buttons -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-sharing/

Let me know if you have more questions!
Thank you!

Since there is not an update on this, I decided to do my own.
SINCE THIS CANNOT BE DONE ON A CHILD-THEME, EVERY THEME UPDATE WILL REVERSE THIS

TagDiv, you can easily adapt this into a new update:

/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/includes/wp_booster/td_first_install.php
line 375 add
'xing' => '',

/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/includes/wp_booster/td_social_sharing.php
line 226 add
case 'xing':
return array(
'url' => 'https://www.xing.com/app/user?op=share;url=' . $page_permalink,
'title' => 'Xing'
);
break;

Since I don’t want to rerender all .less files but to get something displayed, you can use this css in your customcss up until tagdiv adapts this into their theme:
/* Adds the XING ICON for Sharing */
.td-icon-xing {
background-color: #005F5E;
width: 40px;
height: 40px;
margin-left: -13px;
padding-top: 14px;
}
.td-author-social > .td-social-icon-wrap > a > i.td-icon-xing {
padding-top: 0;
font-size: 15px;
width: auto;
min-width: 18px;
height: auto;
margin-right: 15px;
color: #fff !important;
}

What TagDiv needs to do:
Generate a new tagDiv.svg Unicode from IcoMoon for XING and put it there,
then:
font-icons.less (mobile and desktop version)
.td-icon-xing{ background-color: #005F5E };

Hello team,

I built a website with the TagDivComposer editor, then I added a prominent image of acceptable dimensions (770×500).

When I share the page, in social networks like Faceboo, all the highlighted images appear. Except on this particular page, it doesn’t appear here.

I’ve used the facebook debugger, but it doesn’t work either, no image appears.

Did I do something wrong?

There are two settings: 1 for before the content display and 2nd after the content.
But after the content sharing buttons are not controllable.
When I show the article top icons then by default it displays the article bottom icons as well. Whatever I try to do with bottom icon display it doesn’t work at all. For the bottom and top article social icons its only accepting settings from top article sharing icons.

Hi, curious if this is a known issue or not. ‘and if it’s more a matter of the coding within Newspaper or something on Twitter’s end.

When sharing one of my pages to Twitter, the ‘Via’ so and so shows up on the tweet. Thing is, it’s using the first part of my site’s name which is actually someone else’s handle.

It’s like this: Let’s say my site’s name is ‘New Life Together’

Well, when tweeting, the result will include ‘ Via @New ‘ which is someone else’s handle. Follow?

I’m guessing that the process is taking my site’s name as it appears in WordPress General Settings? Or am I wrong?

Any suggestions for this? Aside from just eliminating your share buttons and using a plugin’s share buttons. Which, mind you, works the way I want it to.

hello thank you for your answer.

Now I’m in real trouble, as soon as I activate the newspaper theme it shows:

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1cl1XwYxTDig11EDsItqzIQF-gxFQizuN/view?usp=sharing

and when I deactivate the NP theme the site comes back to normal.

I’m going crazy!

Your custom CSS would be much appreciated.

Hi,

1. At the end of posts there is an author box – http://prntscr.com/njxh0t if that is what you want to remove there is a setting for it – http://prntscr.com/njxh94
The author name at the beginning of the post can also be disabled
http://prntscr.com/njxhkr
This author box doesn’t appear on pages. On pages there will be an author name in modules, this can be disabled in general if needed – http://prntscr.com/njxhwx

2. The post views can be disabled in the theme panel as well – http://prntscr.com/njxi87
On pages these do not appear.

3. That is possible, you can choose which socials will appear, and also the style
https://forum.tagdiv.com/sharing/
Note that some socials will only appear on mobile, for example WhatsApp.

Please let me know if you have more questions.
Thanks

Thank you for your reply. When I open website from mobile and hit whtasapp share button sharing with thumbnail has no issue. But when I copy the link from desktop and paste it in Whatsapp Web or App opened in PC. It does not generate any link or thumbnail. Please check the same and suggest way forward. Because, I am dependent to share news on whatsapp from my mobile alone.

Hi,

Unfortunately, the theme does not have any such an option for that kind of Sharing functionality, sorry! You can try finding such a plugin with this functionality and check how it works. I have added to our list of improvements but please notice that we cannot say for sure if it will be or not implemented in our theme, sorry!

Thank you!

I cleared my browser’s cache and it did not help. Then I spent some time Googling how to “purge CDN” — and although I don’t think my site has any CDN plugins(?) right now, I did stumble into the settings for Jetpack, which had options to turn off those sharing buttons. So now it’s fixed!
Thank you!

When I not logged in, I am getting the FOOTER only on the PAGES (Home and other pages) but not on POST pages.

Could you help me how to fix this issue?

Also, when I check the POSt pages, I am seeing the repeat of my BLOG post at the bottom on the place of FOOTER.

Hi,

WhatsApp sharing is only for mobile version, if you still need it on desktop please check this topic ->https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/whatsapp-share/
I tested your share button on WhatsApp and is working, note that this is working only if you are using a mobile theme where you have a WhatsApp application.

Thank you for your understanding!

Hi SNJToday,

Most likely, you have a strong caching plugin and that’s why your sharing buttons are there if you have disabled them from the panel. Please clear all the caches, purge CDN files and check the results.

Thank you!
