I ran into issues creating the Smart Sidebar.
Newspaper 8 Tutorials – tagDiv Composer 3 minutes Page Configuration
At 1.59 of this video, you taught to create smart sidebar by clicking rows to change it so that we can have a smart sidebar. Everything was fine till selection, i was not able to select the part where i want to insert the smart size bar, instead, it selected the whole page. Resulting in that the slider grides on top be shrunk as well.
The selection once i hit the row, it will auto select the full page, no idea why and i am not able to add the smart sidebar.
Full Page Selection- I cannot just select one slide or gride as it will alway become a full Page selection
When that happens, my top gride will disappear and warn me i cannot do it.
Please help.
Question 2 – I am not able to edit on Home Page by default, Tagdiv composer only appear on every other page i create but never the first page.
Any reason or did i do something wrong?

I want to ste up a new sidebar for my posts. I turned the smart sidebar on and in category settings I chose my sidebar. But nothing changed.

Maybe you are not creating it properly, or the smart sidebar option is not enabled in theme panel. Here you can see for example how you can create a smart sidebar or enable the feature

If you have already tried it like this, then it would be helpful if you could provide more information so we can better understand the issue. Or even a link to your website where the problem is present.

Smart sidebar works fine in my home page with visual composer.

Ensure that you have right setup the Smart Sidebar according to our documentation and then if you are using some untested plugins, try to disable all of them, leave just only required plugins to be active, clear all the caches and check the results.

Unfortunately none of the plugins you use are tested. If you want to use a standard smart sidebar,we recommend using the smart sidebar feature that is already integrated into the theme. Please read this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/smart-sidebar-2/

You can just add adsense code to Theme Panel > Ads > Sidebar Ad
Turn on Theme Panel > Smart Sidebar
And drag [taDiv] Ad box to Sidebar from widgets

I’m using the latest version of Newspaper theme and i need one suggestion about sticky sidebar issue
I’m currently using Adsense ad in Sidebar so i can’t enable the Smart Sidebar feature
Again i have one affiliate ad on the bottom of the sidebar that I want to keep sticky
So, i used this plugin – https://wordpress.org/plugins/q2w3-fixed-widget/
But it is not working – may be compatibility issue with theme
So, how can i make the things done – i need suggestion from you – please help

I’m trying to enable “smart sidebar” feature with custom sidebars that I’m putting together for individual posts. So far I’ve tried Custom Sidebars, which didn’t work at all, and settled for Content Aware Sidebars. The plugin works great, but the smart sidebar feature is now no longer working.
To get around this problem, I’ve tried disabling smart sidebar altogether and using Q2W3 Fixed Widget (which I’ve used with a lot of success in the past) but this plugin doesn’t seem to work with Newspaper.
Any ideas on how I can get the sticky sidebars working again?

Try
a) not using jetpack
b) test site with *no* ads running
c) remove all demo content
d) don’t use “number of likes” from FB/Twitter on your posts/pages or sidebar
(etc)
Everything you pile onto a page that goes to another site to grab stuff adds bloat.
Once you optimize a “lean” site, then start adding bells/whistles to the point it doesn’t die on speed. 🙂
(At least that’s what I do … )

Before making your sidebars, please read our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/sidebars-tutorial/ because there you will see how this can be done. -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/smart-sidebar-2/ For Homepage, you should use the 2/3+1/3 layout and for 1/3 column you should use the Widgetized Sidebar.

I am having an issue with the sidebar on posts, when it scrolls and the position goes to fixed. The sidebar ends up under the menu. This occurs when I am scrolling down, and then if I scroll back up, it adjusts to a normal position. Is there a way to fix this? I am used ad boxes, but not Google Adsense, which I saw does not work in the code.
1) I have tested the smart sidebar again and it works as expected. Make sure you add the class on the sidebar row like so:

2) sorry but our blocks and grids cannot have separate category for each post. The block sorting option is filtered as a whole, not as separate posts in the grid.

I just want to remove the right sidebar on my post pages as it covers the article texts:

When you scroll down on the page, a sidebar pops out from the right. This is the sidebar I want to remove.
I tried disabling the smart sidebar option from the theme panel but it doesn’t solve my problem.

The sidebar displayed on that post is not sticky from what I can tell. This setting from theme panel must be disabled – https://forum.tagdiv.com/smart-sidebar-2/
A smart sidebar means that it will follow as you scroll, and always be into view. You can see an example here in the demo
