I am currently am running version 9.7.3. I recently added SSL and a firewall to the website and now I cannot make any changes to the theme. It just freezes when I try. Any suggestions?

Our hosting is being upgraded from 7.1 to PHP 7.3 — we have no choice in this.
We’ve been testing under 7.3 and it seems to work OK, but I see a few PHP notices in our logs:

These seem all related to live editing using REST-API. It looks like I am able to edit and save post content in TD Composer and the normal WP editor without errors.

Could you please advise whether these issues would be affecting site operation in any meaningful way?

I understand you recommend 7.2 at this point, but as I said, we are being upgraded to 7.3 so we need to know what the effects of these issues are.

Also, I see the theme has been certified for 7.2 for more than a year but is still not certified for 7.3. When will that be happening?

On the mobile it takes about 2-3 minute to open the menu ( Use Newspaper Thheme Version: 9.7.3 )

You know, I’ve been happy this time (thus far) around in my working with this theme. (My third time).

But gotta mention how much of a pain it is to have so much work done and have it reversed with disappearing soft returns. Nobody likes having to do the same work repeatedly so’s to fix these problems.

Right now, I’m having to convert a page with TD composer into one without it so’s to avoid this hassle.

‘and please don’t ask me to share the page URL since what use is it? I’m fixing my current problem right now.

I have Newspaper installed at ContinentalTelegraph.com and we have now a USA version at us.continentaltelegraph.com i want to use the EXACT same design, just with a different colour so the sites switch seamlessly. I tried your theme options export but didnt seem to work. How can i emulate the exact design without going through the whole process again?

I’ve installed a fresh WordPress on my existing domain. I’ve been using Newspaper before and it was activated. Now, when trying to install the plugins, I got an error: Downloading installation package from https://xxx/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/plugins/td-composer.zip… (xxx is my domain name which I’m hiding it here).

Also, there is no option to activate the theme on the dashboard.

Download failed. cURL error 60: SSL: no alternative certificate subject name matches target host name ‘xxx’

P.S I’ve changed the host now and installed a new SSL via Lets Encrypt SSL.

Hi, I have purchased Newspaper theme for my website https://www.stemjar.com. I need some support as I am facing one major hiccup. After I migrated my staging website (of existing stemjar.com) to Newspaper theme. But each and every post shows gibberish text at the very start and end.

These texts look like this :-

I am sure above texts are carry over from Extra theme (from Elegantthemes). Is there any way where I can avoid this hassle from all previously published posts? I have roughly 2000 posts.

Dear tagDiv team,

I am trying to re-create one of my web pages with the use of tagDiv Composer (the page was previously created with WPBakery Page Builder, and it’s layout is broken now pretty badly).

On that page I need some rows to be different for mobile and desktop versions. One solution I can think of is to simply create both versions of the rows and only show one of the rows for mobile and the other one for desktop.

With WPBakery Page Builder I could do that by clicking on a row (column), then Responsive settings, and then ticking the ‘Hide’ checkbox next to the corresponding platforms, like this:

How can I achieve the same functionality with tagDiv Composer?

The only alternative solution I can think of is to use custom CSS with @media queries.

When I go to Newspaper > Theme Panel > Block Settings, and I click on “Thumbs on Modules/Blocks”, the box does not open at all. It constantly indicates that it’s loading, like so:

I wanted to access this menu to enable the thumbnails required for Related Articles, however I am unable to load the menu at all. I should note that this is the only menu that does not open: “Category tag on Modules/Blocks” and “More info on Modules/Blocks” both open fine.

The Newspaper version installed is the latest, 9.7.2. I’ve tried disabling all of my plugins.

I’m unsure if it’s related, but Site Health indicates the following critical errors:

– The REST API encountered an error
– Your site could not complete a loopback request

With the following message for both: “Error: [] cURL error 60: SSL certificate problem: self signed certificate in certificate chain.” Updating the version recently, I had to manually install the plugins because this error caused the dashboard updates to not work.

My hosting service looked into it, and concluded that this could have something to do with the Newspaper theme (the site is running the latest version of PHP).

When I load a translation into my language, the changes can not be saved, the theme is thinking endlessly…

Is everything updated, which may be making it impossible to change the language?
