Hello abdirizak51,
Ensure that you are using the latest theme version with the TD Composer which come bundled and check the results. Also, check your system status to be according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello @lavesh
Edit your homepage using TD Composer then choose block where you want to show latest articles and now change Sort order to Latest on Filter tab. And SAVE the changes. 🙂

Hi when i click on edit with td composer it does show up i don’t know it’s searching but not showing up help here
Hello Pedro,
If your website is anchored in Visual Composer, you will have to further use the Visual Composer plugin, sorry! Notice that our page builder is a required plugin and the transitions between these two pages builders can be done only on the manually way, sorry! If you have more such pages and posts which were made with Visual Composer then you should stay on this page builder because you will not found all the elements which Visual Composer has and in this case, we cannot help you, sorry! From now on, the TD Composer plugin will be improved with some features which have to be exclusively for this builder.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello,
I must say that I´m very disappointed with this incompability between the VC ant the Td Composer, in particularly that the transition to the Td Composer must be done “manually” (page by page, and post by post).
In fact, I have a site that has almost 300 pages and almost 400 posts, so it is almost impossible to make the transition!
I have been investing so much in the site using this theme, and now the theme makes a so significan change…
So, I think that you REALLY should work in making possible the update of the pages and posts from VC to Td Composer.
Thanks.
Hello genloc,
Please do not simultaneously use the two builders because will appear some conflicts in the theme. If you do not like the TD Composer you should not use it, because this is not a required plugins. You can further use the Visual Composer. Notice that introducing this new page builder plugin will not influence the structure of your website, sorry! Try to disable all of the untested plugins which can interact with the theme, clear all of the caches and check the results. Should working. Also, ensure that you are using the latest theme version.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello,
For more information about transition between Visual Composer and Td Composer and also, for more information about how you can use TD Composer, please check here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/ -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/
Thanks for your message!
Hello nano2408,
You should try to add your shortcode in RAW HTML element or in a Text with Title element, like this -> https://www.screencast.com/t/VnCRfwtys or here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/ccFFVBn13
Please keep in mind that is not recommended to be used both of page builders at the same time because might appears some conflicts between them, sorry! Also, if you want to use our page builder you should recreate your homepage from scratch using the TD Composer. For more information about transitions between these page builders you should consult our useful guide here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/
Notice that our builder is at the beginning and also, it is in a continuous development. You will not found all the elements which Visual Composer has. From now on, this plugin will be improved with some features which have to be exclusively for this builder. In the future, this feature can be released but unfortunately, we cannot say for sure when exactly this process will be done, sorry!
Thanks for your understanding!
I begin to recreate my first of… 1450 pages (that I just finish to built) but I realised that I can’t use in the same time the Visual composer versus TD composer (like you know). During I work in the double page, the old one is affect by the presence of TD composer (feature image, and colums text desappeared) I will have to close the site for a long time or built another one and replace it. Do we have another solutions?
I have 4 sites like this!!! It’s a big job.
Jacques
Hi, Simion
I reinstalled the theme using this method and curiously, no change. Also I upgrade for 64 M and have already define(‘WP_DEBUG’, false);
See capture:
http://www.patatesplus.com/Capture.png
I can not saved in control panel. I see that td composer is appeared no compatible with my Visual composer pages. Many things desappeared, images block of text. I am vary dessapointed about this change…td composer versus Visual Composer. I have another site that I just built with 2,450 pages builted in Visual composer…
Do you have another thing that I can do?
Thank
Jacques Gosselin
Thanks for your response Simion, in my last post, I should have said that all plugins were disabled except td composer, though I have also enabled Visual composer yet I still can’t add sidebar.
I think I should also explain that I watched the video tutorial on how to created a webpage in 3 minutes I followed all the instructions till I got to were I needed to add a sidebar to my webpage. that was when I ran into problem. As you can see from the link https://africanquarters.com/?page_id=4049 every thing is okay except that when I clicked on the last element to add a sidebar just like what I saw on the video, instead of the sidebar appearing beside that element only, it pushes up to the top of the page and distorts the whole page.
I have installed newspaper 8 OK and the included plugins and now added the default demo theme. This has killed the composer plugin which has been deleted! Not very happy about this. Do I need to reinstall the composer plugin?
I was working on my home page. And I was using TD Composer to add a slider at the top of website. saved changes and the error
Errors happened during tdcIframeData.init() -> bindViewsModelsWrappers()!
appeared. I need help with this. This is the second time I have had this error message. Can someone enter into my website and fix this for me. Just delete the slider I don’t care.
The last time I got this message I had to redo my whole website.
Got it. Yes, I never used VC for posts so far I remember.
My specific question is, is there any issue if I, for the time being, NOT use td composer and still keep upgrading the theme version and use VC as usual? In other words, is Newspaper’s compatibility with VC still and will be taken care of?
Thanks.
I get what Chris says and also think that a lightweight decent way of loading more posts from a chosen category / filter (not just the next post) would be a good idea. However, I would first request TagDiv to resolve some existing issues that I have been reading after launching td composer. As a principle, it is good to have an issue-free theme than a buggy, feature loaded theme. Newspapers has enough features and has done excellent in the past. In order to continue with the tradition they need to focus on excellence more than abundance. Having said this, I certainly would like to have the auto load more posts feature in the theme but not at the cost of excellence in what it has. Hope I am clear. Thanks all.
Obviously make sure you disable all extra plugins, caching, clear caching; only use Visual Composer -or- TD Composer *not both* with new theme. Any ‘hacks’ you made to core files in 7x might have to be redone/changed for v8, etc.
getting this error “Warning: Illegal string offset ‘limit’ in /srv/users/serverpilot/apps/ohcelebrity/public/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/includes/shortcodes/td_block_big_grid_9.php on line 20” while creating new page via td composer
delete all sections created with VC and recreate with TD composer. all done.
Have to do homepage blank and recreate with td composer. all done.
When using the TD composer the page overlaps with the TD composer window. I have not been able to figure how to fix it. I had been using the Newsmag theme before. I’m using Safari
PHP 5.4 is really slow and a dog with Visual Composer plugin; it would spike our old server processes from .09 to 70.0 (!!!). With TDC and PHP 5.6x we’re running at .05 (!). Note PHP 7 is also good choice from 5.4 and below. Next version of WordPress won’t even work with PHP 5.4 and below, I believe (or is coming soon). 5.6 is the “in between” old moldy tech and PHP 7. (5.6x is kind of like the PHP ‘6’ that never came to be.)
However, some old hosts including GoDaddy, still do 5.4 as it’s compatible with any OLD tech, but *not* very well suited for new tech (e.g., after 2013!).
Simply moving to TDC vs VC for your page builder will do wonders right there.
Hi Chris,
Thank you very much for your feed back. I’m going to summarize the options here.
1. Moving to PHP 5.6 as it has opcache built in
2. Consider using a product called Varnish (https://varnish-cache.org/)
3. Use a combination of https + PHP 7 + http/2
4. Move to TD Composer instead of Visual Composer
We’ll have our tech team look into these options. Based on our results I will respond back to this thread with the option that worked for us.
Wpion is different theme from tagdiv, uses td composer only. A little cleaner and simpler, more like newsmag. I use all three themes.vgreat stuff.
Hello mmeida,
Notice that you can install both of the page builders to be able to recreate your pages with TD Composer but then, you should disable the Visual Composer because it seems to cause some interferences between them and cause some problems and that’s why I made this above. Notice that our page builder does not have included all the Visual Composer elements and that’s why you cannot recreate some elements with our page builder, sorry!
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi, Catalin. Thanks for your answer. I am following exactly the steps indicated in the tutorial that you link:
- Step 1 – Install both the Visual Composer and tagDiv Composer plugins.
- Step 2 – The page has to be recreated using the new page builder. You will have to build a new page and edit it with the tagDiv Composer replicating your original page (made with Visual Composer).
- Step 3 – Save the page. Replace your homepage with the newly created one. You can always revert to the original page if you encounter any problems.
As far as I understand, you have to have both plugins installed, so I don’t understand “Please keep in mind that is not recommended to be used both of builders at the same time”.
But on what I was asking, it seems clear that the blocks offered by TD Composer do not correspond entirely with those of Visual Composer and therefore it is not possible to rebuild all the pages that were created with Visual Composer.
Regards.
