I have inspected your website and I saw that you are not using the latest theme version and also, you are using such untested plugins which can interact with the theme core files and causes a lot of unknown issues, sorry! Try to update the theme to the latest version of it, remove all of the untested plugins and check the results.

Please go to your plugins section, and deactivate the tagDiv composer. This composer was introduced in version 8, and it is activated automatically when the theme is installed or updated

Deactivate this editor and check if the problem is solved. When both editors are active, some Visual composer elements are affected by the tagDiv composer.

Hi, I update my content on a daily basis but my content is not updating, not visible at all apart from when it is searched, or when users are logged in. When opened, the front page still show post from last July 2017 and the new one can’t be seen. Views as well stops counting for some posts. I am still using Newspaper Version 7.7 and after what i see on the forum, I am reluctant to upgrade to the newest version. Is there anyone who can tell me what is causing this?.

Now WP is giving us notification that the upgrade to 8.1 is available, but wants to update the child theme rather than the main one.
What is the standard procedure in this case to avoid any conflict after the update?

Please keep in mind that what you want to do is a BIG update and the theme will be broken because it is totally another theme, sorry!
In order to achieve the best results after you will install the latest update you have to follow some rigorous steps like this -> you have to delete both of your themes, child theme, and main theme. All your customizations from your Newspaper 4 theme will do not work because all the files from this were changed in Newspaper 8.1 and as the main theme and also you lose all changes.
The Newspaper 8.1 is a whole new theme so an update from 4 to 8.1 may cause the same issues as switching to another theme (but we did try to maintain compatibility where ever possible).
Always make a full backup of your current installation – https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Backups and then do a clean update, meaning that we recommend that you delete the old version of the theme before uploading the new one – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ update also the plugins that come bundled with the theme files from the /plugins folder. In the “how to update” guide is specified that you will have to run the script that will import from database your settings.
The shortcodes have been changed so old ones will not work anymore. Please note that old files customization or custom CSS will not work with the new version and you will have to adjust or re-add them. Bottom line is that newspaper 8.1 is a whole new theme built from scratch.
Unfortunately, you will have to clear your agenda and spare a bit of time to adjust all your settings to the new version of the theme.

Please note that the theme has to be updated along with WordPress and plugins. Old versions can have security breaches and these can be exploited by different tools.
The old version from prior to April 2016 had a security issue which was patched in 6.7.2. Similarly, WordPress prior to 4.7 is insecure.
Please make sure you update your theme, plugins, and WordPress and do not stick to old versions.

The single image elements are among the most affected by the composers. Each has it’s own different implementation and functionality for these elements, that apply when both Visual composer and tagDiv composer are active at the same time.
The settings for the single image have some differences between the editors

But these settings should be present regardless of having both editors active, and the image displayed. Only on the front end the images may not be displayed properly until deactivating Visual composer.
A similar element as the Message box is not available in tagDiv composer at the moment. There will be more added in future updates however.

I disabled all plugins, except for Tag Div Composer, and had the same problem. I updated the Newspaper from 8 to 8.1 and installed the new Tag Div Composer plugin with it. Now when I go to edit any page with the composer, I get a white screen.
I found another thread with the same issue, but the solution given there is to recreate everything from scratch.
Is there really no script to update the codes anymore?

I have changed the HEADER STYLE in the theme panel, but it cannot be updated automatically. Every time when I change the header style, i need to change the wordpress theme to another theme and then choose the newspaper theme so as to show the new header style that I have selected. I would like to know if there is any wrong setting in my wordpress that caused this problem?
