Hi Guys, I was using Newspaper 7.0 and then I updated to 7.2… And now I know that one of my categories is not working… It’s getting this error: wp booster error:
Missing module: search… MIssing loop.php… tb_api.php etc….
I’ve updated to 7.5 and the error still exist… I deleted all the whole theme… upload via FTP… Put the license… The theme is working fine the problema is only about one Category….
Could you help, please. I loved this theme and I dont want lost it..

I upgraded to the new version of Newspaper today, and the comment count and author name can not be removed from the home page and category pages.
I went in and enabled then disabled in these features in the post settings. It removed them from the post:

Please let me know what I need to do to fix this. FYI, I also updated jscomposer at the same time.

Thank you for your suggestion. Maybe, in a future update, it is possible but we cannot say for sure if it will get done in the next update because we have a big list of fixes, improvements, and suggestions to implement. It’s hard to filter them and select which one gets implemented now and which one gets postponed. The developers decide if it gets done or not, though.

1. Unfortunately if you edited the theme code, there is no update proof way of changing the theme code. If your customization is added in the theme panel( settings or custom css in the custom code box), these will not be lost, but if you edit the code, it will need to be re-made.
2. This depends on the image size. If the screen has enough space to show the picture and text in it’s left side, it will how up like so: http://screencast.com/t/dfZ1aAa2t
If your image is bigger, it will only show on the right in landscape views where there is enough space to show both side by side,

Just updated scaffmag.com with the latest version of the theme and found we have an issue with the menu (and other formatting problems). i’ve rolled back the version now but can someone shed some light on this problem? Screenshot at link below

I’ve never used the smart bar – but is there a setting somewhere for sticky? Maybe it got unchecked during one of the theme updates.

Visual composer does not need activation.
-The theme includes a license for this plugin so you don’t have to buy it.
-You don’t have to activate the plugin license, it’s already activated.
-You can’t update Visual Composer directly from the it’s producer.
-You don’t have to worry about the plugin update warnings.
-We provide updates on a regular basis, after we test the plugin for theme compatibility we include it in the latest theme update, inside the ../plugins folder

Before each update, we recommend doing a full backup to your data because in this case, you will avoid losing all your data. I’m not sure exactly why it’s npot working on your end byt you need to use font awesome, not sprites. The sprites have been removed from our theme from a few updates back. Only font awesome can provide the icon properly.
there are 2 copy/paste operations you need to make and 1 plugin install.

A couple of questions:
1. I have version 7.3 of the theme. I spent about a week customizing it and as I’m very untechnical, I had many difficulties. I’m finally happy with how my website looks now, but if I update to the latest version will I lose all my customizations? Doing it all again is a scary thought for me…!
2. For images, when I use ‘right align’ it doesnt work when viewing on mobile.
On desktop it shows the photo right aligned, but on mobile the photos appear above the text and in large size which looks strange. Do you know why this might be happening?
Using mobile with landscape view also shows the photo right-aligned. Vertical view does not — even for very small images. As most people use their phone in vertical view I’d really like to find a fix for this.

You will have to disable the plugin and delete the files from the wp plugins section. Then install the new version as you would any plugin. Revolution slider as well as visual composer need this method of updating.

I just bought the NewsMag theme and I must say kudos for such an awesome theme.
Being an existing customer of your NewsPaper7 theme setting up NewsMag was so easy for me. However, I am having two challenges presently
1. The Primary/Header Menu: I have an existing Primary/Header Menu and each time I assign it the header location and save, it goes off when I refresh and then shows up “CLICK HERE – TO SELECT OR CREATE A MENU” I have saved and saved this several time, but when it saves and I refresh the page it goes off and show the message above. Please I need your immediate help on this as this is making our site look somehow considering the fact that the Header menu is one noticeable part of a site.
2. Excerpts: I wanted to set the excerpt number to “0” in block 6 so that only the title shows and when I save and I refresh the page not happens, the excerpts will still be there.
Please help me with the fix with these two as I have searched the entire support forum and could not get a solution or fix.
Finally I need to know if using a child theme is necessary for the NewsMag. I am not using any child theme, just uploaded the theme following the instruction on documentation. Will future updates break or remove anything I have said?

I got a notice from JustHost that I should download a new version of Newspaper. So I did. But when I try to upload it to install it in WordPress, it says there’s already a version of Newspaper installed. So how do I update my Newspaper theme? Do I somehow delete the old version first? Coze, they have touched the breadcrumbs:
v7.5
misc: breadcrumbs markup, added BreadcrumbList schema
Sometimes your WP setup times out or has permissions issue due to hosting setup.
Try deleting the old theme via FTP or your admin filemanager from hosting setup.
FTP always best way to update themes to ensure all files updated properly!
Sir my google link breadcrumbs changed. After updating theme link in google in showing as [ http://imgur.com/a/HJVMe ] like Mysitename > Home > Category Name initially it was mysitename > category name . there were no home in google . So please tell me how to restore that. In google it show link as mysitename>categogy>post name
