Hello Tagdiv Team,
For some hours before I updated the Newspaper theme to the latest version and found that the errors listing on Google’s Structured Data Testing is resolved. But I think some of the structured data are missing now after the update.
Before the update, Google lists these Structured Data’s:
1. Webpage
2. Organization
3. Article (with errors)
4. WebSite
5. SiteNavigationElement
6. Customised Search Result Filters
After the update Google lists only 3 Structured data:
ie;
1. Organization
2. WebSite
3. Customised Search Result Filters
So my doubt is: After the update Google Structured data tool is not getting any signals/not validating from
1. Webpage, 3. Article, 5. SiteNavigationElement
I’m right? So how can we make the missing Structured data to be validated by the tool?
Looking forward to know whether my findings are right or wrong.
Any updates on this? It’s kind of driving me crazy.

I’ve been using it since November without any issues.
No reason for it to be built into theme as it’s going to go through a lot of changes, and is best left as plugin so it can be updated independently of the theme files.
The Automattic plugin is best solution right now because they are the ones actually testing this with Google and big WP VIP sites like TIME magazine, etc. — so, right now that is the “bleeding edge.”
Presumably this is more likely going to be offered as addition to WP core at some point.
Benefit of the plugin for the time being is that theme developers don’t have to chase info they don’t have access to on where the framework is evolving and when/where it will be supported.
So, just turn on the plugin – it works 🙂

I have checked your website and your console and saw some js.errors Indeed, you cannot have access to your website in mobile mode. This kind of problem might be caused by conflicting plugins. First of all, please try to deactivate the mobile theme from Jetpack plugin. The Jetpack plugin has a lot of modules in its structure and not all of them works as expected with our theme.
Also, we recommend using our theme with our tested plugin for good results.
However if you’re using an untested plugin there is a chance to not work properly with the theme and you may need additional customization to correct it. Unfortunately, we cannot offer custom work as we work hard on the development, updates, fixes and support but you can always get a freelancer from sites like -> http://studio.envato.com/ to do this for you. We do not have as recommendation such plugins.

I’ve checked your site and seams that the css is missing. This could be caused by a plugin which conflict with the theme so you can try to deactivate all plugin except Visual Composer, clear all caches, purge the cdn files if you’re using and test again.
If the problem persist try to update the theme at the current version available on themeforest following the steps indicated in our documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-the-theme/

I wanted to know weather this feature is compatiple with the newspaper6 theme version 6.6.3
There is a plugin made by Automattic here Though i understand its still in its early DEV stages i would like to know the following:
1.Is the plugin compatible with the newspaper 6 v6.6.3 theme?
2.If not is this a feature you are planing to implement in the near future say your next big update?
I really need a fix for 3#! I reported the Comment title issue weeks ago. Any updates on the progress?
The above fix isn’t appropriate because we enable comments on most posts. We do not enable comments on pages, but still see the comments header. Also if we disable comments on a post, the header should not be displayed, it causes confusion for our readers and looks unprofessional.

1) Good to update to latest version but also remember to update the included plugins too! Please update your theme to the latest version using this tutorial: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
Also, update your plugins: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/. Remove the current version and install the new version which comes with the theme. Clear all cache and try it again and see how it works and check if the error reappears.
2)This kind of problem might be caused by the conflicting plugins. Please try to disable all the active plugins, except Visual Composer and instal only the plugins that come bundled with our theme. Also, if you use CDN files, please purge them and disable this option and check it again and see how it works.
3)If you want to exclude ‘no comments’, it is necessary to use a bit of CSS to hide it. Please try the code below and add it in Theme panel->Custom CSS area.

I am currently on v6.5 of Newspaper theme on my website with a lot of Custom work being done and core theme code files being modified.
How can I update to latest version of the theme i.e. v6.6.4 as I have missed the middle version. Can i directly update the files to v6.6.4 or I have to update step by step to subsequent version ?
If i have to update through the middle version please provide the necessary files for the same as through Envato market place we can only download the latest theme version only.

Unfortunately, our theme does not have such option to configure only the page on the mobile version, sorry! In the mobile version, our theme will display you the same content that you have in the desktop mode but with some adjustments for style, wich are necessary for responsiveness, from the left to the right. In our future updates, we will implement this option that allows you to customize only the mobile mode.

This warning is below the post and when post date is activated.

2. There are squares and japanese characters
The social buttons and ‘next-previous’ buttons are visible as squares and japanese characters in chrome. Other browsers are fine. I’ve tested chrome on other devices. I’ve tried this suggestion which doesn’t work out.
3. Comment title
When the ‘no comments’ is checked on pages, the comment form is invisible, but the header ‘no comments’ is still there. how to hide this?

You can do a child theme because the Block template files that can be modified using the child theme.
The child theme helps you to keep the changes made by you for the future update but if your modified files are not changed by the theme in this update. Please notice that the style.css file is changed in every update and it is necessary to update your child theme that comes bundled with our theme on every update to works well. If your files changed are different to files changed by the theme you have to replace only those files in the child theme.

Hi,
Please make sure you have updated the theme properly and disable all the plugins except Visual Composer, clear cache and see if you still have this issue. If it works please enable your plugins one by one and see which one cause this issue and try to find an alternative.
