Don’t know if you can also give CSS code to fix the avatar hovering over group description too and fix in one of the next updates as with other. See image of a group and current user avatar is hovering over the description which I think should not be like that.
A great new feature with new buddypress to add cover image, so we updated to latest buddypress, released ~ 1 day ago. However now the profilepage seem a bit broken, unable to get to proper edition of profile picuture (as well as the new cover image feature) and lots of other thing.
We’ve tried disableing all other plugins (using it toghter with a RTmedia suite) and no differance so it seem to boil down to Newspaper beeing at fault. Any tests/input on compatibility with latest Buddypress?

Hi,
Since last update all social icons from top bar and footer are gone and now you see some japanese characters. Weird. On mobile, menu icons are just crossed boxes.
May you please explain how to fix this?

Please backup the whole current theme installation as well as the database and wp install: https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Backups in case something goes wrong you can get back at the old install.
Make sure you do a clean update, meaning that we recommend that you delete the old version of the theme before uploading the new one – https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-the-theme/ update also the plugins that come with the theme files from the /plugins folder. If you’re using child theme deactivate it during the update process, switch to default wp theme.
If you use child theme for files customizations it’s a good practice to check update_log.txt file for each update and see what files had been modified so if those specific files are used in the child theme you will have to check your customizations to not break the functionality of the theme.

Please make sure that you updated the theme according with our documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-the-theme/ deactivate all plugins and also you update the plugins included in theme path Newsmag-tf\plugins clear all caches and est again.

UPDATE: Ive gone back to an older version of VC for now, which seems to be doing better (but not well enough, the elements are still mis-aligned).

It’s me back again: after updating to NewsMag 2.3 and the latest VC plugin, I’m unable to make a decent homepage. What I mean is that its simply impossible to add sidebar elements (to the homepage)… they show up in the next row, in the centre instead of the side of the current row.
Please help.

After updating the Newsmag-file and the files of js_composer and td-speed-booster I get a long list of errors like the following example in the head of the page – and also in the backend:
wp booster error:
td_api_base::mark_used_on_page : a component with the ID: td_block_1 is not set.

The complete header of the page incl. the menu and backgroud-image is no more visible.
And all used blocks in the page are invalid (the tags are visible instead of the block-heads)

In the backend I can’t see the td_blocks in the visual composer menu – the rest of the visual composer works normal.
What can I do to fix the problem.

The latest version of the theme is tested and works fine with Social counter plugin. I’ve checked your site and noticed that you’re using Visual Composer V4.4.4 with V2.3 of the theme. We always recommend to update and the plugins included in theme’s path when the theme it’s updated to a newer version.
Try deactivate all plugins, update the ones from Newsmag-tf\plugins folder, clear all caches and test again. The plugins always should be installed from the same path with the theme.
We also have some negative reports regarding cloudflare’s rocket loader usage, it seams to affect the theme’s js so if you still have issues with the images try to deactivate it and test again.

If you follow the link i provided and make the update it will not destroy your site :). Just use this tutorial https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ and follow the steps provided. We did try to maintain compatibility as much as we could. Only a few elements will require a setting refresh.

Please only use this version and not other ones as they can create problems.
The post template problem comes from the update from version 4 of the theme. New post templates were added and this made the existing ones switch to another post template with the same number as the one in version 4. In order to reset your posts to the global default you can follow this topic here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/change-style-of-multiple-posts-at-once/

I just updated my site to the latest NewsMag theme update. Had been running NewsMag since the last 6 months.
But after the update, NO images (including my sites logo!) are displaying on the site. They’re only showing up on the theme’s featured images on the homepage.

You can try to do a fresh install of the theme via ftp. Your articles will not be lost because they are stored in the database. Delete your current theme folder and add the new one. https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/
Make sure you do a back-up first.
(the error comes from the update script used to update from version 4 to version 6. You do not need this script if you already have version 6)

I doubt your going to fix this. I usually ask something and it doesn’t get done and I bet your solution you won’t have for a while anyways. They just released an update and the cover photos enable in buddypress the whole profile tabs disappear, and I just spent with them in their forums of them telling me that since this is a premium theme they won’t bother making it work with it. So basically they want me to ask you to make it work but since I am going to get a run around with this. I am going to remove BuddyPress because it is lacking the style of what new community plugins are offering now and hopefully some day I will have the money to pay for the premium extension from the other community plugins.
Here is a screenshot of what I am talking about but BuddyPress support won’t bother because Newsmag is premium theme.

If you tell me the same as BuddyPress that you won’t work with the new cover photos. Then I am instantly as you respond taking BuddyPress off of the website due to no functionality with photo covers. I need to know whether you are going to give the same response as BuddyPress about it not working or just tell me to go back to them and they won’t do a thing. I already wasted my time with them over it.
Let me know otherwise I am uninstalling BuddyPress for not working right.

When I update to version 6 I did regenarate Thumbnails . MY website Size was 20GB and after regenarating it went to 40GB. How can I clean fast all those unused IMAGES???????\
