Where can we edit the “© 2014 BodyArmorNews.com” part in the left lower corner?
I cannot find it anywhere in the editor and would like to change 2014 to 2015.
Thanks!
Greetings,
Iwan
Hi Admins,
I seem to get a 404 or page not found error after I updated wordpress to 4.2.2 and my Newspaper to the recent version. This happens most of the time while inside the wordpress admin.. like updating a post, updating a plugin etc.
I badly need help as this is very annoying. Thanks!
OKAY! Will give it a try and post here to update with results – thanks!
Addendum to my prior item above; this issue is actually resolved by using the TagDiv BETA “SHIM” which Radu has invented to deal with the PHP CPU issues related to Visual Composer. Expect info about this option at some point, possible in next update in June 2015; this likely will also be an option with Newspaper 5.
Hi, I have recently updated my website to the latest theme version and wordpress and now the mobile menu isn’t showing. Please advise. http://www.myholisiticlife.com
Thanks
i have updated i am using version Version: 4.6.3 can you tell me in step how to set classic blog template?
See documentation rights side of page on how to update theme.
To set your theme style to classic blog, note the import settings bottom of main theme panel.
Also see link to documentation, right side this page.

hi i purchased the newsapaper blog in decemebt 2013 how do i update the theme to classic blog?
Turn off the extension blocking update.
Try updating via FTP; delete old js_composer folder; upload new one (don’t “over-write” old one).
I follow this link for Visual Composer:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/update-the-visual-composer-plugin-wpbakery/
When I try to install the plugin I get this message: “File upload stopped by extension.”
Now my theme look bad without Visual Composer.
What can I do? (It’s urgent.)
Thank you
Hi, Yeah its yoast im using.
I changed a few setting like the format of posts pages etc to
%%title%% %%page%% %%sep%% %%sitename%%
after reading a guide and also disabled authors archives and datebased archives and enabled Noindex subpages of archives.
The problem is i dont understand what these settings are really doing other than unnecesserily complicating my host space and the guide recommended making these changes, but i dont really understand the error.
I get a sitemap helps google update its search results better, but why does YOAST generate 7 sitemaps for my site. Im a little confused. Still im pointing google to /sitemap_index.xml
Any help appreciated. Ive made some changes to my page names and they havent been reflected in a google search for a few days, is it not updating because of this error, ie is clearing it important?
Obviously you should be clearing your cache after doing any changes to website like this, updates, theme upgrades, WP updates, etc. Yoast SEO no longer manages robots.txt file – there isn’t even an option to edit it anymore in their menu (edit files is now gone, I noticed; at least in my setup).
Hi,
Not sure how that happens. Could you please try to remove and reinstall the VC plugin and make sure you install the latest version from the full theme /plugins folder: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin-wpbakery/
Let us know how it goes and also make sure that you empty all caches and purge files if you use CDN host.
Thanks
Hi,
Thanks for your suggestion, I’ll add your request on our feature request list and consider it for future updates.
Unfortunately I can’t provide an accurate answer on this as we’ll have to discuss this first.
You can try to find and use a plugin for this.
Thanks for the message!
I am using Newspaper 4.6.3 with one of my website http://www.wpdiv.com and it works well in earlier days. Currently i am experiencing some issues with its permalink, sub title and product review snippets (i am using star ratings)
After i have updated with Yoast SEO plugin into 2.1.1, experiencing peculiar issues. Once i have successfully published the post, incase if i edit the post for some reasons post permalink changes automatically. Also sub title and rich snippets parameters as well.
If i disable the Yoast SEO plugin, everything goes normal. What would be the cause for this issue?
Will you please help me to troubleshoot this issue?
Hi,
According to this robots.txt configuration some resources on your site still aren’t reachable by google’s bots: http://screencast.com/t/SeAHYz99 so please make sure that you check them all and write and update the robots file to allow access to them or disable the plugins that use those resources and test again.
Thanks
Hi,
The best solution is to make a fresh install like Christopher suggested via FTP – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-theme/
Christopher’ sticky guide can help – https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/how-to-guide-to-moving-from-newspaper-to-newsmag/
Thanks!
Hi,
Please make sure that you update your themes to the last version now available on themeforest (4.6.3) then test this again. I’ve also tested the theme’s latest version for this but had no issues regarding this, the youtube video playlist works well: http://screencast.com/t/EJvjD9hkzEmx
Please make sure that you update and use the latest theme version following the instructions from this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme/ and let us know if you still have this issues afterwards and send us your wp-admin login details via email at contact@tagdiv.com along with an link to this tread so we can look into this.
Thanks
Hi,
This markup error: http://screencast.com/t/NNuEv4fG ..appears because you’ve modified the itemtype="http://schema.org/Review attribute from post template – article tag. This should be ://schema.org/Article so make sure you change this and test again.
The “Node is empty” warning doesn’t mean much – it means there’s no child schema elements inside that parent – you won’t be penalized for something like that at all.
I’ve noted this as I also noticed this on our demo site and we’ll fix this in next theme updates.
Thanks
Hi,
As you can see our demo site also has this markup errors when checked with the validator: http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fdemo.tagdiv.com%2Fnewspaper%2F&charset=%28detect+automatically%29&doctype=HTML5&group=0&user-agent=W3C_Validator%2F1.3+http%3A%2F%2Fvalidator.w3.org%2Fservices
The most common error as style inside div error appear but we use them on our blocks and we couldn’t find no alternative for that, you should ignore them, they are not important.
Other, like the “alt” attribute that was pointed here as missing, it’s present but it’s just not added in the alt filed when the image was added which makes the validator to give this errors.
The frameborder and marginwidth and several more come from your ad banners: http://screencast.com/t/aSYDsEXSJ
This http://screencast.com/t/U6gONuoGqY is caused by this: http://screencast.com/t/rhhV8p7UXp3k
The ampersand error also comes from your ad script path. This footer widget also causes some errors: http://screencast.com/t/vaOObPJO5 – http://screencast.com/t/0vKzgPVqO
Other errors like the link error is not quite relevant. The information in the error message is outdated, anyway. Error messages are apparently not updated as fast as the basic functionality of the validator.
Thanks
Already did some changes to my robots.txt, especially deleting googlebot blocks, but it didnt see to work yet. I did it yesterday, updated manually in webmasters google tools, and its still saying its not mobile-friendly.

Whats next?
You might check with YOAST SEO support threads on WordPress.org for quick checkup.
Obviously the theme can’t update Yoast SEO in any way; as it’s not developed by TagDiv; nor is Visual Composer.
See thread on WordPress support page for the plugin:
https://wordpress.org/support/topic/yoast-and-visual-composer
this fix may not apply to your use case, but apparently still some issues even with VC 4.5 and Yoast 2.1:
I found that letting the SEO WordPress "Main Keyword" empty on the backend of my homepage makes everything fine.
Not having any issues in 1.71 with that (so far). Need to update my others sites from 1.6 to 1.71 … and that is on the docket for Friday here 🙂

Need help on this too. Fast. Can we get a youtube shortcode or plugin update like now. If so, thanks. Need a reply.
Thanks for the suggestion Chris, I will try that. The image paths are definitely correct.
I actually downloaded one of the .pngs and tried opening it with Photoshop but get an error message saying “the file format module cannot parse the file”, which is strange.
Perhaps the images are corrupted by my system/antivirus or something of the sort…if and when I figure it out, I’ll update with the solution.
