solved by theme update to 4.02

Hi Radu,

What I do is move the tables from production to staging.
Than replace the domain urls with:
UPDATE wp_options SET option_value = REPLACE(option_value, ‘http://www.mydomain.de’, ‘http://staging.domain.de’);

The theme settings in td_008 are correct in the database until staging.mydomain.de is opend in the browser. On loading the staging page in the browser, the theme settings are deleted from the database. I’m not understanding why? And how to avoid this behaviour?

Could you please tell me how to copy them?

I have updated the post and wrote here after checking that. yes I am running the new version of your theme. 4.0.1.

Also i have checked by disabling all the plugins.

@Lucian it don’t work on pages i’ve tried many times and it will not work only on post are titles but not for pages..

there is a version 4.0.2 i’ve not get any update since 4.0.1

I wish there was a opition for this as well,before the update i could change fonts on my pages,now i can only change fonts on post…

after the V4 update the big slider looking strange on mobile view. I have tried the above mentioned workaround with 2 sliders, one normal and one big but somehow this is not working anymore? Can you please check? With this css code the normal slider is hidden on desktop but unfortunatelly the big one is not hidden on mobiles. You can check on my site too: http://hashtagsport.de/beta

Thanks for the update to 4.2 but unfortunatley everuthing is still the same.

Tried all Sticky menu settings before and now but not working. Navigation for mega menu not working and sliders.

I have problems with the Big Slide on the homepage.

The first image (the big one) you can see properly, while the three images side not seen. I tried to regenerate the thumbs and does not work. It does not work even with the new article be inserted after the update. (you can see at http://www.autotoday.it )

I then a question: with this update, I noticed that the system of unique article no longer takes in consideration the articles included in the mega menu. I like this new feature, I would like to know if it will remain so in the coming updates, or you will be considered this a bug?

Same problem again with an update. There is no more site.js, but same code is found in td_site.js. The problem is that the hack described here http://screencast.com/t/Opp3iwiRpkT
doesn’t work anymore. I removed piece of code for youtube and vimeo, but the videos are still being resized. So I assume some other code is involved?

Just updated to 4.0.1 (had to downgrade to 3.x series) and it’s working fine. Thanks for quick fix and great support, as usual.

thanks for your help. The latest version 4.0.1 fixed the problem.

Um, Newspaper 3.9.2 is using Visual Composer 4.2.2, released 6/3/14. The latest version is 4.2.3 released 6/12/14 (per Code Canyon, anyway). So, “pretty outdated” ? Not really. Updates to Visual Composer come with updates to theme, once it’s been tested compatible. VC releases have bugs too 🙂

If you’re running an older version of the theme, all you need to do is update it to get latest compatible version of VC.

You might want to research more about the plugin. It’s not free, costs $25, but it’s included with the theme as part of the theme purchase/license and tied to the theme, as explained on Theme Forest in the features line up for the theme.
