Now with “video-format” still the “featured-image” but with play icon. Perfect.

Hi,

Usually this method solves this problem, check if the file was updated and clear the cache files and try again.

I Think I saw some other people asking the same question. The answer was that they had to edit PHP files themselves. Surely there is a more elegant way, that also holds when the theme is updated?

Nobody wants to keep editting PHP files after every update.

So please, tell me how to do this elegantly and update proof. And implement this Search Icon on/off in the admin backend please.

We did this by adding a “News Updates” tag, and then used that as the selector to add a box on the home page for that type of content. No longer “new” news (since if you updated it same day, it would still be current news, with an update). For older news, like 5 days old with a notable update, we could then “re heat” it on the front page in a section for those who might be interested.

Not sure if that would work for you, but simple fix.

Last Question: Do I have to make these Changes with every update?

Hi.

I have updated the theme with your last update but the problem is still there.
As I said before, it is showing only 10 to 20% of the visits. It is not the same problem of people which post views stopped working or it is not counting.

Since it was one of the features why I bought this theme, can you check this for me please ?

I did install the plugin via the latest update and yes, the annoying banner won’t go off.

Typically after a major update to any theme, I find I have to “expire” the existing cached content on our CDN, so that the CDN captures and caches the NEW content.
