Update: it seems G+ doesn’t work too, only Twitter of the 3. I’ve tried reinstalling the plugin, deleting the old plugin and installing anew..nothing worked.

Thanks its working now updated enabled allow_url_fopen to “On”. I think it will be good if you can add some notice in admin about this configuration.

it may be a misconfigured server or you are missing the curl library from your hosting account. Also, can you manually update the image?
Seems like you havent updated integrated Visual Composer since the initial release of Newspaper. Will you refresh the packed by version with Newspaper v2.0 or arent you planning to do it at all?
I would like to use the Visual Composer Addon Templatera. Will it work with Newspaper out of the box?

your great social counter won’t work after i upgrade my wordpress to 3.7 the Facebook and Youtube won’t work any more. the google+ has never worked 🙁
is there any update scheduled for this problem?

I updated one of our two sites using this theme to 3.7 today and works 100%.
Still waiting on the bug fixes:
1) title links on posts/ indexes should *not* be linked (they are now; bug)
2) featured image top of post 700×409 not linked (should not, makes Google news skip image)
3) WP saying “1 update available” even though all plugs/theme up to date (gremlin!)
Otherwise works perfectly.
We’re using child theme for functions and css over-rides on dedicated server for our sites.

No the featured image is not set when i create or update the post. Does it have any dependency on any plugin etc?

I’ve tested your video and for me works fine.
When you paste the video url and create/update the post check if you have featured image like here: http://screencast.com/t/HiVDoooQvP
The big slider is setup to take featured posts, this mean that post should be in Featured category: http://import.tagdiv.com/newspaper/doc/#start

I have the same question, i’d like the white background back
The white background that was behind my logo and ad in the header went away after the update to 1.7. Is there a way to make that white again in the settings or do I just need to update it manually in the header?
Ok select the download option that has all files and documentation, not just the theme (it looks like the theme alone is just the newest version without the update patch)
Also take note that it seems they forgot to update the zip file name and it will be labeled 1.5-1.6 but if you look at the readme it is the 1.6-1.7
Ok, I downloaded the theme, however I don’t see a folder that says “<span style=”background-color: #ffffff; font-family: HelveticaNeue-Light, ‘Helvetica Neue’, Arial, Helvetica, ‘Nimbus Sans L’, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 21px;”>“patch to vx.x to vx.x.” </span>
These are the folders I see:
Just go back to themeforest and download the theme again. You will see a folder that says “patch to vx.x to vx.x, open that folder. Then extract the zip file in the folder and put it into your theme directory overwriting the older files already there.

Thanks for the new version of theme. I just upgraded and its good to see CPT support. The issue is it only supports one CPT. I have multiple CPT which are Review, Preview and Cheats and Normal posts and in few blocks I want to show review, preview and cheats. I tried comma separated but it did not work, single post type is working with blocks.
Should have been checkboxes for post types or should have supported multiple CPTs via comma. Any chance we can get this update pretty soon or get the the theme customized?

The Feed have a input text file that you can add manually a count. Feed don’t have subscribers any more.
