I would like the default post width to be narrower, about 650px. So it’s easier for users to read.
Currently the post does not have side bar, and it looks like this:

You have said that this is only achievable by text padding in the edit post screen, but this may change in the coming updates to have more flexible to modify post width. I have Newspaper 8.8. In the updated Newspaper 9.0, could I modify the default post width to narrower width?

I downloaded Newspaper 9 and updated it on my site. I have placed some categories on my header menu and when you click on them, they are blank. I have a few posts in each category. They were appearing before, but now they are not. my site is familymatters365.com
Two issues:
1. Updates – Despite having the Envato plugin configured properly (it detects my purchase of Newspaper), when I go to the themes section, there is no option to update Newspaper to version 9.
I also tried updating via FTP, but strangely, it still shows Newspaper 8 when I go to the themes section.
2. This issue just seemed to come up today out of nowhere. Despite having the “Big Grid Full 8” module selected for my homepage, it no longer actually has the full width now. Why did this happen, and how do I fix it?

All post page title is broken into the single word. It is difficult to update the existing page.

I’m currently using 8.8, but when I tried to do the 9.0 updated the installation says it’s “successful” but when I return to Appearance to activate the Newspaper theme, it says it’s still 8.8. What am I doing wrong? I’ve processed updates in the past but I can’t seem to get this one to work.

I just found the solution …
Go to Newspaper -> Welcome -> Install plugins, and update plugins (tag composer…) and then, it work! 🙂
But I think that this should be automatically when any uploads the theme to avoid this failures…
I upload of Newspaper 8 to 9 and it was all god.
But today I update to 9.0.1 and I see my page customized like the user harryalbert. 🙁
Also, when I edit the page, it does not let me access the customizer 🙁
Then I find a web that shows some good blocks and also other sites show code 🙁
What are there to do?
I won´t upload a theme soon update more…

I just updated to the latest Newspaper 9 version, but the TagDiv composer isn’t working any more and it has completely ruined the user interface of the site. I have a dozens of pages that I designed with TagDiv composer and now they all look bad and it’s all ruined.
What’s happening? Please fix this issue soon or let me know a solution fast!

Till the 2 last updates nothing change.

I also add define ( ‘CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS’, false );
in my wp-config.
Nothing change.
I create a new page and impossible to edit it with TD.
The page turn and nothing happens.
When I click on add, I have this error:
Error at rows: 1(models) : 0(dom). The model does not match the content
The homepage seem to contain mix of VC and TD and I arrive to edit it.
But for exemple on the blocks Dernières publications parues sur VM and Bons Plans VM : fais des économies sur tes achats !
when I try to change the Border color: nothing change in the admin.
Please help.
I really need to create new pages.
I can provide FTP and admon access.

Are you you going to release an update or something?
When I install the TD Composer plugin (from folder 9.0, 9.01) and activating it, I get this message:
PLUGINS DISABLED AUTOMATICALLY
The following plugins were disabled because they are incompatible with this version of Newspaper:
tagDiv Composer
At least I’m not the only one!
I’m surprised at how unprofessional it is, you’d think given its a paid theme, they’d fully test it before releasing the update. Now, I can’t even roll if back without having to uninstall the theme entirely.
Makes us look very unprofessional to have a non-working website.
Does Newspaper 9 update have infinite loading on Posts?I mean to load another post when users scroll to the end of the current post? like infinite loading of posts on bottom of each blog post.
What new features are there in Newspaper 9 update? like new blocks or new styles, or any other features?
Since updating to the latest version, all pages created with TagDiv composer have stopped working completely and shows short code only instead of the webpage.

Where is my current theme sir, I was expecting that you will update my theme but when I log in there is no Newspaper theme.
I think something happening very wrong.
Please recheck again and upload my Newspaper theme with the latest version.

Every time I do an update I lose my feature images in the slider which goes black. What do I have to do to avoid this and get them back?
I’m using 8.8.2 now. When I upgraded the theme to 9.0.1, the theme home page prompted me to install the “tagDiv Composer” plug-in. When I installed it, there was a “HTTP ERROR 500” error. At this time, the front desk of the website can be opened, and the background can not be opened.
What can I do?

Did this break your footer and or Instagram? I just updated to 9.1 and didn’t know there was a patch. http://sasquatters.com look at the footer.

1: As issues are persisting when I regenerated thumbnails and since those posts that have thumbnail issues are new (site is updated with 50+ posts per day) I think it could be issue with Settings > Media > Thumbnail size as its kept on default 200×200. What thumbnail size should be set for Newspaper theme?
2: Hmmm issue is resolved by using Custom_AD_1 insted of Sidebar even they have same code
The big grid slide page element has a rendering bug in it that occurs when I rotate the orientation of my iOS device. If I am viewing it in portrait on my iOS device and then rotate to landscape the big grid slide does not responsively adapt correctly to the screen width. Only after I refresh the page after changing device orientation does it update to render/display correctly. Try viewing the big grid slide element on a page viewing it from an iPad or iPhone then rotate your device’s orientation to see the issue. Please fix.
I uploaded the update files using ftp. When I enter my domain name I now get the message “The theme directory “Newspaper” does not exist”. According to my file manager every thing is in order. All seems in order from my wp-admin panel. Any suggestions?
