Hello, fellow Newspaper users!
I finally updated my theme and I’m enjoying browsing the Cloud Templates and I’d like to use one of the author templates, Author Template 6 to be exact, but I am not seeing that as an option for me to change the template to under Theme Settings > Author Template.
Do you have any tips?
It is a known issue which will be corrected in an upcoming update. In the meantime, try to minimize the size of the window using the Command+minus key (Command+-) and you shall see the button. Once imported, you can go back to original page size using command and + button.
I’ve updated the Newspaper theme to 8.8 after installing Envato Market plugin on wordpress which was successfully done. However, my website (www.hgvdashcamfootage.com) now has issues with pretty much everything. Missing bottom menu, missing main menu, missing images, pretty much everything has gone invisible since the update. I’ve been advised to one by one deactivate plugins to see if it fixes the issue but nothing.
Can anyone advise please?
hello, im really despairing right now. i want to arrange my articles in a speacial way ( latest news in on the right, and in the middle of the page just 4 categories with 3 articles in each categorie. im trying it since 5 hours now but i cant fix it. can somebody help me ? the way it should look like i can show you here : http://www.rapupdate.de/ (on the right are all newest articles and in the middle of the page are 4 categories with 3 articles)

I was trying to update the theme via ftp and after i transfer the new version , the child theme disappeared..why that happened?Now i restore the site with the old version 8.7 and the child theme working again…

Thank you Edward, I have successfully installed the new Newspaper update. BUT the Instagram issue is now worse. The bottom banner doesn’t download and the widgets don’t recognize instagram content at all. Is this a theme problem or something else? I’m debating just switching themes all together at this point.

Are The files on themeforest.net last?
Because in .zip file there is “patch_8.8_8.8.1” folder.
Does theme needs maunel update ? (if it does how sholud I do it?) or loading “Newspaper.zip” sould be enough for 8.8.1 version.

Since last update to Newspaper V 8.7.5, the users of the website I built for a client (Newspaper) can’t use the ‘Post settings’ anymore within a post. I’m using the WP Members plugin to distinguish roles between users. If I give a member a full editor role, he can use the post settings, but with limited rights it’s not possible anymore. Before the update there was no problem.

I have been experiencing difficulties working with TD Composer for my front page.
Each time I click on “Edit with TD Composer” all I see is an endlessly circling icon in the middle of the page no matter how many times I refresh.
My WP Memory Limit is currently set to “64 MB/request”, which is the recommended limit and I’ve progressively deactivated my plugins to search for any possible conflict to no avail.
As a last resort, I then updated the theme to the latest version (Newsmag v 4.4). Not only did the problem persist, I am now unable to navigate through the “Theme Panel” of the theme. Anything I click there just takes me back to the top of the page.

But it would be better to update the theme and theme plugins. Please check the theme changelog, you probably have version 8.7.4

There were some notable changes since that version. Updating the theme will not change anything in your pages and posts, or theme panel settings or custom code entered in the theme panel.
As always just to be safe you should make a backup before you update. The steps to update are described in the guide, follow theme and there should be no problem

Please deactivate and delete all of the theme plugins (the ones starting with TD) and install them again from the latest theme package you download from envato.
The plugins must be updated as well.

This message appears only on one page after I make a change. Apparently she “corrupted.” I deleted another page for this same problem after a change, having to create it again from the beginning.
She was a normal page. A homepage that worked without any problem. After adding some new blocks, this error appeared.
Few blocks, I’ve created more than 50 pages much more complex.
The same error appears with the new Newspaper update (8
8), with pre-designed templates.

The AMP plugin will not show a menu, maybe a menu will be considered and added in a future update of the plugin.
This design and functionality is similar to the Yoast SEO website, which does no feature a menu in AMP pages. Example

Please update your theme to the latest version and update the exchange plugin as well. Then get the api key from the https://fixer.io/ website and implement the key into the tagdiv composer api key section for the exchange widget.

When I try to update the theme to the newest version I get the following error:

UPDATE: cloud library is now ok… just had to update it in newspaper plugins section.

That would depend where you would like to do that. A general theme setting for width is not available. There are full width elements to be placed in pages

But a general width setting for the whole website does not exist, there are more individual settings to be used for width.

Please notice that I purchased Newspaper theme at May 19th, and that I use demo (city news) with some changes.
I got an Envato notification about available update, but I’m afraid that I’ll lose my changes (added grid at frontpage, made changes to blocks (3 columns from 2 etc) and plan to change width to post pages.
Can you can check my website and let me know if updates are safe for me?

I cannot seer any social counter elements now as you seem to have replaced them with a third party plugin.
Please update your theme to the latest version in order for the counter to work properly as there were recent changes for all social networks regarding the GDPR and the counter needed to be updated in order to keep up with the new changes.
