Hi,
I could modify the code, try it like this
#td-header-menu .menu-item-wpml-ls-2-en ul,
#td-header-menu .menu-item-wpml-ls-2-es ul {
padding-top: 48px;
}
I have also made some tests on my end with multiple languages, it is the same. Once I switch from the main language, I can’t switch back to it. So I start with English as default – https://prnt.sc/oshayr if I change the language I can’t see English anymore
– https://prnt.sc/oshb7b
It isn’t a functionality issue, some CSS will fix it. Let me know if that code works better, remove the previous one.
Thanks
It’s also correct if I change the language at the WPML language switcher in the footer…
Hi,
I only found a solution for the theme Newspaper, but I use Newsmag.
How can I remove this message: “WPML Plugin is active! When the plugin is active, the *.po – *.mo files are used instead of Theme Panel Translation”?
Thank you,
Luke
Simion,
now a have space if I choose the german language: http://cdn6.eronite.com/images/wpml2.png
How can I avoid this?
Hi,
From what I can see it’s a CSS issue, the third language is there but invisible. I will test this on my end with 3 or more languages and try to recreate it, it will be fixed.
The quickfix is to enter this code in the Custom CSS section of the theme panel
– https://prnt.sc/os4pay
.wpml-ls-item ul {
padding-top: 48px;
}
Let me know.
Thanks
Hi,
I have a problem and the WPML already tested it and came to the conclusion, if the Newsmag Themeand the tagDiv Composer is activated, there will be an issue with the language switcher in the menu: if the language is set to “german”, I see all the other languages (english, spanish) but If I switch to english or spanish, the menu item “german” disappears.
See screenshot: https://cdn6.eronite.com/images/wpml.jpg
In the footer the language switcher is correct.
So what can we do?
Thanks in advance,
Luke
Navigating away from an AMP page or post will display the mobile theme (non-AMP). So regardless of being on the AMP version of a page, beginning to browse the website there will no AMP anymore.
The logo looks quite small for some reason, looks like it has a limited size. Try to enter this code in the mobile theme CSS section
.td-main-menu-logo amp-img img {
min-height: 100%;
}
It may take a while before changes will be seen in Google AMP. You could try this
– https://developers.google.com/amp/cache/update-cache
Regarding the flag switcher it is the same for me. It does not appear in AMP. From what I can find in a topic they mentioned that for AMP it would be better to use this option
– https://prnt.sc/oltxu2 – https://prnt.sc/oltxwk
– https://wpml.org/forums/topic/language-flags-not-showing-on-amp-pages/
Or consider using the language names instead of flags.
Hi,
It should work like this, create/import cloud templates then apply them for each language. Don’t translate cloud templates, that may not work correctly.
So for example in English set one post template – https://prnt.sc/olgghw
And on French set a different post template – https://prnt.sc/olggy7
Each should use the templates that you set.
In those respective template you can add the elements you want, widget sidebars etc. The post templates will have to be applied manually for each post. Then the posts will use
the templates you create specially for the respective languages.
I should note that there could be some issues when using cloud templates with WPML. In some cases cloud template don’t work correctly with WPML, it is on our list for investigation at the moment.
Let me know if you have more questions.
Thanks
One more thing
When we enable amp for home pages, the language switcher on the mobile version disables itself. But I can see it is there in the wpml language options. Is there any specific reason for that?
Hello
How do I translate the mobile theme’s strings? I did translate it via wpml and theme panel’s translation section but it does not update? Please see the attached.
https://pasteboard.co/IpLYz1S.jpg
Besides, I find no way to fit the main menu center, it’s siding left, if I want to fit it in the center, meni items pushes down. Is there a way to make it responsive?
Hi,
It could be that WPML is not adding the string. When you select it and click apply is the saved message displayed? – http://prntscr.com/ojqyox – http://prntscr.com/ojqytu
There are cases when it doesn’t add the string, they recommend a max input vars of 10000
– https://wpml.org/forums/topic/cant-add-string-for-translation-from-admin-strings/
I have it set like that and it works fine – http://prntscr.com/ojr01t
Also, before adding the string a page should be set in the theme panel footer page section, so there will be something to translate. So before trying to add the string, set the page for the main language – http://prntscr.com/ojr0n4
Once added, the string should appear like so – http://prntscr.com/ojr5dj
– http://prntscr.com/ojr5hx
Thanks
Hello Simion C,
Thanks for your clear explanations.
My problem is that in String Translation section in WPML I can not find this section admin_text – tds_footer_page https://prnt.sc/oisddi
Please, could you indicate me how can I find this section?
In our BO, here is what i see when I search for tds_footer_page. Nothing. : https://prnt.sc/ojfwnz
I note that I’Ve already done this : https://prnt.sc/ojg4ss
On the contrary of what you said, I did not find that tds_footer_page in td_011. But I found it in td_remote_http as you can see in the screeshot: https://prnt.sc/ojg4ss
Those explications for footer page translation, are they the same procedures to translate Single Post Page template (Cloud template) ?
Thanks in advance!

Hi,
Please try again the steeps from this topic -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/problems-on-sidebar-and-footer-translation-with-wpml/
Also make sure that you have the last version of the theme and WPML.
Thank you for your understanding!
Hi,
After setting the page in the initial language, now you must translate the ID of the page using the WPML string translation.
So for example I am creating a page to set as footer page, first in English
– http://prntscr.com/ois9uf
Then I translate the page in French – http://prntscr.com/oisa1a
– http://prntscr.com/oisaiq
Now using WPML these pages can be switched when the language is changed, but this must be set as mentioned in the topic from above. In my example I am setting the English page in the theme panel – http://prntscr.com/oisc44
Then I am adding the tds_footer_page string for translation in WPML
– http://prntscr.com/oiscow – http://prntscr.com/oiscuj – http://prntscr.com/oiscz9
Now it appears like so – http://prntscr.com/oisddi so if I want the French page to appear when the language is changed, I will add the ID of the page there
– http://prntscr.com/oisdt1 – http://prntscr.com/oisg6n
Be sure to mark as complete there.
The result is like this. When on English the footer page will be the English footer page
– http://prntscr.com/oisfoj
When on French the translated footer page will be displayed – http://prntscr.com/oisgmx
If you do it like this everything should work fine. For me it works correctly every time I test it. Please let me know if there still is a problem after trying this.
Thanks
Hello we have check and everything seems to be correct now!
But, after following your instructions as explained here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/using-with-wpml/
So, I’ve set up a footer page for english version and a footer page for french version (default language)
In cloud template, I’ve also created a Single post page temlate for french version and a Single post page template for english version.
My problems
Footer
To set the footer page of english version, when on Newspaper, I chose “footer english” like this https://prnt.sc/oiewul, the same footer display in both french and english version.
Please help me to fix it. To do that the footer page swicht from english to french when we navigate on french or english version.
For Sidebar
As I told you, I’ve created an english version of for the sidebar in Cloud Template. I even have the ID number of that page. But as explain here https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/using-with-wpml/ and here in String translation https://www.screencast.com/t/2tnXvxoQisMW, when I go at String Translation section in WPML on our website to put that ID page, I do not see where to integrate that ID Page. Because I can not found where ‘sidebar page’ is located. Here is what I see when I go to String Translation in WPML :https://prnt.sc/oif8hj.
I even tried to do the same with footer page but I did not found where the ‘footer page’ section is located in String Translation.
I’ve also tried to use another method to change the sidebar by using Newspaper Theme panel / Post Settings / Default post template. There, the both single page appears in back office. Like this : https://prnt.sc/oifg0r. When I chose ‘Single Cloud Template Anglais’ for the english version. It display on the both french and english version of the website.
Please I need a help! If you could have a look, it will be great!
Thanks in advance!

Hi,
I have checked your website and it seems that is looking great for both languages -> https://www.screencast.com/t/Ek4oGouTf. Please ensure that your WMPL plugin was correctly installed and set up according to our documentation from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/using-theme-translations-together-wpml/
Thank you!
Hello, I’ve finally installed WPML on our website. It’s OK. But sometimes, the Newspaper 9 theme is down. And the website look like this : https://prnt.sc/ohrhdv
Like there is no theme. Every ten minutes the theme breaks down like this https://prnt.sc/ohrhdv and come back normaly for five minutes and breaks down again. The same thing is repeated every 10 or 20 minutes.
Please, help me to fix it !
Thanks in advance!

Hi,
Depends on what the child theme contains. If you have custom CSS in it’s stylesheet you could move it in the theme panel dedicated CSS section. If you have code in it’s functions file, you could move it in the main theme functions for the time being.
In the next theme update the issue with the child theme will be fixed, also we will add more capabilities for it. So you can activate it then if needed.
I tried to translate the footer page with polylang, I created a page in two languages, but I can’t seem to find a way to change the ID of the page when the language is changed. I believe the string must somehow be added first, polylang doesn’t seem to find theme strings as WPML does automatically.
Do you maybe use a child theme? There is an issue currently, the post templates don’t apply correctly when the child theme is active. We will fix this issue in the coming theme update. For the time being it would be best to keep it deactivated if possible.
I see the problem with the footer. It should be like this, if the initial language is French set the French page version in the footer. Then translate the footer page field with the plugin’s string translation (should be an equivalent in polylang similar to WPML)
– https://polylang.pro/doc/strings-translation/
The string that has to be translated (the one that contains the ID of the page used as footer page) is called “tds_footer_page”. When translating it for English enter the ID of the English page – http://prntscr.com/odxo12 so when the language is changed the footer page will chnage as well.
With WPML it works fine, but I haven’t tried it with polylang.
We created pages in both languages. Even in cloud templates. We don’t use WPML. We use Polylang. When you say that “cloud templates can’t be applied per language at the moment”, I understand that maybe it’s because of that. Please could you look at that on our web site ? And what can be the solution ? Thanks in advance!
Hi,
What you set in the theme panel will apply regardless of language. The theme panel settings are not per language if that is what you mean.
You can create pages in both languages, when the language is changed the page will change.
In case of the footer page, and using WPML for example, the footer page field containing the ID can be translated like so – https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/translation-of-footer-pager-does-not-work/
I should note that cloud templates can’t be applied per language at the moment. let me know if you have more questions.
Thanks
Hi,
I am currently not using any other plugin other than WPML plugins, tagdiv plugins and Yoast SEO and AMP. Those should be compatible with the theme. They are all updated to the latest version…
I currently do not have a cache plugin
