We had the same problem, I checked all the parameters and we had all those things done properly, and then I disabled all our plugins, also I disabled mod_security from the Security section of C-panel, but we still can’t edit with the tag composer.
Can you give me some other advices?

I understand that you asked the host about the security plugin and that it doesn’t have one, right?
Have you checked for a plugin conflict? You will have to first start looking for a plugin conflict. please deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones, also if you are using a child theme or cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache and try again.
Also, do you use the Wordfence plugin?

hello, I have the exact same issue – theme elements like color or fonts not saving. I checked my admin-ajax.php and its accessible with 777 permission. Can you advise what is going on thanks
I have deactivated all plugins and it’s the same issue. The check mark showed but it did not change. Reloading the page the settings reverted back to before.
Is there a file that theme is saved at?I can check if that file has been accessed/changed
