I run http://www.milkenroar.com/. We recently upgraded to Newspaper 8. I like the new footer but don’t like the Popular Category section. Is it possible for me to change it to display certain categories, another box of text, or just remove it?

In my case, I’m using the footer template #1, with the predefined content (Editor Picks, Popular Posts, and Popular Categories).
If is not possible to change those content, what are the steps to replicate the content from Popular Posts, Editor Picks using the footer template #5??

Some footer styles come with predefined content, some are empty templates

The Editor picks and Popular posts are simple Block 7 widgets, one displaying featured posts and the other popular posts. More about block settings and options here

@gyanbook A popular posts widget can be any block you want, from the available ones. Choose the one you want and place it the sidebar you want

Then simply sort the posts by popular, in the block settings filter tab

Sidebars can be created from multiple places

The theme does not have options for sending emails at subscribers. There are plugins that you can install that have these options.
