Confused with update to Newspaper 8

I did copy new version via ftp. But when I checked theme version in Welcome page, it shows 7.8.1. Why?

I could not updated via WordPress because when I am trying to delete Newspaper theme, it is saying “the folder does not exist”.

Please help, it’s really tiring to update the theme. Why it’s so complicated!?

Hi,

It should not be complicated. If the theme version displayed is still the old one, then you did not update the theme fully or properly. The simplest way of updating or installing the theme is by FTP

You can also do it with WordPress

You could consider making a backup before if needed, just to be safe.
