In the default format of the permalink the url is the post name. However my title is in the regional language(it’s a regional language news blog) so it isn’t working properly. I want to set the Url manually to english everytime i publish a new post. Please help ASAP
Hi Sekhar,
Our theme do not interfere with the website links, this is done by WordPress.
I think that you have set for WordPress backend a different language, but you ant to set the permalinks in English. Normally, the permalinks are made using the post title, so if this is in a different language so will be the permalinks. I’m not sure if you can change theme automatically. In all guides that I found it can be done only manually per post -> https://themeisle.com/blog/permalinks-in-wordpress/
Thank you for your understanding!
solved the issue with permalink manager lite plugin by Maciej Bis. It has a field for custom url which replaces the wordpress custom permalink structure. Thanks for the insight though. But I have another problem. the slider for posts that i have arranged in homepage for mobile version is not showing up as intended in mobiles. Instead, three images with post title are being displayed. Please help.
Hi calin,
I took the slider from the tagdiv composer and arranged as per my vision of the website. I don’t know if it is from the revolutionary slider. Anyways, could i share my website link with you through email at contact@tagdiv.com? Actually i made some minor changes to the homepage(of default pro prebuilt website) and I am on the way to design the site as per my expections. At first i didn’t get the sliders right and later, it went exactly as planned even though i didn’t made any changes. So i was happy that issue got solved on its own.But today the same problem appeared. On top of the that, mobile version is being even on desktop version too.
Hi,
Yes, you can share it via email contact@tagdiv.com, just add the link of this topic too.
When the mobile version is on desktop, usually is a problem with the cache plugin. Most probably you are using the mobile theme or mobile page template and the cache plugin that you have do not recognize it. Most of the time this is solving by enabling from the cache plugin the mobile support. We recommend to use Wp Super Cache plugin.
Thank you!
I did send an email to the above mentioned address. Also included in the email are the screen grabs of my site. I also mentioned about some problems i’v been facing related to the font of the titles in the posts. All the details which i thought were necessary are mentioned in the email. please find that and do the necessary, thanking in advance
Hello @sekhar!
Access the category pages from your website and click on the green button “Edit with the TagDiv Composer“.
This situation appears when you are using the mobile theme plugin and the cache plugin that you have does not feature options for a separate mobile theme plugin therefore do not know when to deliver the mobile version and when to deliver the desktop version.
We tested with our theme the WP Super Cache and with the settings from our guide this is working correctly: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
If the problem occurs, then make sure you haven’t extra non-tagdiv plugins which are not tested with our theme and re-install the Mobile theme plugin.
We have 3 options of mobile versions that you can use:
1. Responsive version: A responsive version of your website is looking similar like on desktop, edit the page with TagDiv Composer, click on the mobile viewport: https://www.screencast.com/t/XDQJedlggSB ; there you can see your mobile version and you can edit the elements there.
2. Mobile pages: https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/
3. Mobile theme plugin: The Mobile Theme is a performance optimized theme included in the Newspaper main theme and it loads only for mobile devices. It comes with its own templates/design for page, post, category, etc so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout. For more details, please take a look here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ and https://forum.tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-introduction/
A full explanation you can find here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY
You can choose to use which one is more affordable and useful for you.
Thank you!
Hi,
If only the letters are not display in full height, then it can do done by setting on the block the line height for the title, for example using tagDiv Composer -> https://i.imgur.com/ggePOXo.png
If this is not what you mean, please let us know!
nothing is going as per the plan. the mobile page isn’t loading as intended. page speed in down. slider isn’t working properly. arrows on the slider are not showing up. Instead i see pictures of the empty boxes on slider. on top of that the letters in everyblock is being cut by the line. help. I will send you the necessary details via email
