I am creating a new site, and I am using Newspaper 8 for the first time. I have a question regarding the demos. I like the way some of them look, but I am running into a learning curve with customizing the demo. First I guess, is it possible to customize these demos? I installed ‘Politics’ without the sample content, but on the front page, it shows the site title and tagline as the demo’s ‘World News’ and ‘Politics around the globe’, instead of the site title and tagline for my site. How do I change this? Also, can I edit the front page of the demo? If so, where? Is there a guide for customizing a demo, and for configuring Newspaper 8, overall? I apologize if these are some elementary questions, but I am running into some problems just getting started with the theme.

If you install a demo without content, you will not get the page style. Only when importing with content will you also receive the page lyaout. if you want to keep the page layout as your own but not the rest of the content, you will have to first install the demo with content, then make a copy of the homepage and then uninstall the demo. This will remove the content including the homepage, but you will be left with the copy you made. Then you can install the demo without content and you will also have the homepage.

I followed your instruction. How do I copy the entire homepage? The page builder only shows a single section which does not contain al elements shown on the home page.

I was able to copy the code of the homepage of “https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_voice/” and enable it in my blog.
I am not able to replicate the behavior of the demo homepage. My homepage is randomizing the content. What to I have to adjust to not only copy the look and feel but also the behavior of the blocks?

Unfortunately, the content blocks (light box must read, past stories etc.) do not behave like the content on the demo homepage. Within your demo of “village voice” the blocks act according to the headline. On my homepage the content is randomized.
What do I have to do to replicate the behavior of the homepage of “village voice” on my page?

Do you have pasted the above code through your editor? Also, please notice that you want to achieve the same layout with the Voice Report you should install the demo (which has the specific stylesheet CSS code) in order to achieve the same results.
