The mobile version of your site contains the same content as your homepage dose on desktop but styled different.
At the moment thew theme doesn’t have settings to change the mobile version content or layout so this is only possible with custom modifications.
We can’t offer custom work now so if you really need this I suggest you hire a developer or a freelancer to help you with this.
We plan to change the mobile system/layout in the future but we haven’t decided on anything yet so I can provide any info on this.

Newspaper updated today and also the Visual Composer. Now Visual Composer is presenting error editing:

From which version did you updated the theme?
Please update your theme via FTP – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme/ and also the plugins that come with the theme’s files from /plugins folder – https://forum.tagdiv.com/update-the-visual-composer-plugin-wpbakery/
Try to delete the js_composer folder from plugins and upload again Visual Composer from the files that you have downloaded from themeforest. Let me know.

I believed that you can use all elements using pagebuilder, not only elements of Visual Composer plugin.
I cannot tell you an exact date for Newspaper 5, but we intend to release it at the end of May.

I have a huge issue with updating VC. I’m running two sites on the Newspaper theme, pretty similar to one another, including active plugins and whatnot. I’ve updated Newspaper to the latest version (4.6.3) and then proceeded to updating plugins, including VC. I did everything as you instruct on the forum, and one of the sites did just great. However the other one dropped dead, with WP giving me either “no connection to DB” or timeout. As soon as I replace new VC (4.4.4) with the original version I have (4.3.5 from Newspaper 4.6.1, I believe) – everything starts to work normal, like nothing ever happened.
The only major difference between sites is the number of existing posts: ~12k on one with the error vs. 1200 on the good one. Can this be an issue with update? Are there any other known issues?

Yes, this seems to be the issue. We have had similar reports from other theme and users which have lots of posts. Visual Composer plugin will be updated in the next theme update after it is tested with the theme, the current version provided with the theme’s files is 4.4.4. We currently working on version 5 of Newspaper and try to release it as soon as possible.

Trying to find an answer for the following issue:
I am trying to get access to the full range of Visual Editor functional elements, the version included with the theme seems to be very limited compared with the stand alone version of the plugin.
I am trying to get the full plugin function list while still being able to use the custom elements specific to this theme.
how would this best be achieved?

We also use the full version of Visual Composer plugin(unmodified), but some elements of Visual Composer are hidden in functions.php – http://screencast.com/t/SynPasWm as they don’t work fine with Newspaper at this time. Sorry for inconvenience! This will be fixed in the version 5 of the theme and all those elements will be available. We hope to release version 5 next week.

I have a problem with updating sites, who are created with Visual Composer. I’m still on the old newspaper version 4.6.3. I can’t update to 6. as this would cost my programmer a lot of time and me a lot of money.
So the problem is, that there is no text field anymore, when I want to change texts in Visual Composer. In the old version of newspaper, I only have Visual Composer 4.4.4. So this might not be working with WordPress 4.3 properly anymore.
What can I do?

I have checked this using 4.6.3 version of the theme and Visual Composer 4.4.4, but I did not found any issues regarding “Text with title” block on my side – http://screencast.com/t/89NlCGsxX Also note that I use WordPress 4.3.
Please disable all your plugins, leave only Visual Composer active, clear cache and see if you still have this issue, maybe it is caused by a plugin.

We tests the Visual Composer plugin with the theme before we release it, so some issues could appear if you use a version that is not tested. Also the plugin provided with the theme files is unmodified.
