I have problem with compatibility of visual composer with the theme.
Everything goes fine, i was configure the home page with visual composer, and after a page save, the home page break up and goes with full width without reason.
Its seems visual composer lost the margins of boxed version!
I was delete everything, and setup everything again, but in second time, with another reason, when i insert a new article, after the save, the home page(which use visual composer) breaks again.
The other pages who don’t use visual composer working fine.

Can you check that?Do you have any update of theme or visual composer to fix that bug?

Please check the row settings for your page, as the tagdiv blocks were not been designed to be stretched – http://screencast.com/t/VtVDGo3e You can use only “default” and “stretch row” settings.

Got an email from Envato to update to 4.74 of VC, So I downloaded it from your template and installed it. I’m running Newspaper 6.4 and it’s all messed up. Must I upgrade to template 6.5 for this to work, getting nervous with these updates, it always makes more trouble… what do i do?

JS composer v4.7.4 provided in your last theme’s update totally broke the layout of my site. I needed to reverse to JS composer v4.2.3, the one I was using so far, to fix the problem. I use a child theme. I understand I need to update for security reasons so how can I resolve this?
All fixed with the Newspaper 6.4 to 6.51 patch update. I’m good.

try resaving your layout from your static page used for home, as that sometimes helps.
Hi Chris, Ok I can try that out. I forgot to mention that I am using Newspaper 4.1, is last JS composer compatible with it or I need to update to Newspaper 6. Because I use a child theme I am not sure updating to 6 will cause problems.

You have to use the Visual Composer provided with the theme version you have on your site. The new version 4.7.4 is tested with the latest version of the theme, so if you want to use it please update to the Newspaper 6.5.1.
If you update to version 6 – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ please also update the child theme, you can find it in the /code folder from theme files that you download from themeforest.

This is what happened when I updated visual composer – my entire site crashed, and even when I go back to try and update it, it still brings me to this page.
As soon as I deactivated VC, the site crashed, now I can’t even get into my site.

@paulberrow We have made some test using the Vc 4.7.4 and old version of the theme and it creates some issues on tagdiv blocks, we will try to find solutions, unfortunately I cannot provide an exact date.

VC is on 4.8.1 right now with a big security fix that was in 4.7.4. When and how can I get this update?

If you read the first post of this topic you will find out that we will provide the Visual Composer plugin with the theme files after it is tested with the theme. So when we will release a new version of the the theme, it will contain the latest version of Visual Composer. You don’t have to buy or register it.
