Incompitability between, WPML CMS – Classic Editor – Tag Div Compser

We have moved our site to local today to develop new designs by using the Newspaper Theme’s Tagdiv composer but no luck.

You can see the issue attached in the image. We disabled all the plugins and whenever we activate WPML Multilingual CMS and classic editor we get the fault.

https://pasteboard.co/IfZxSWA.png

In addition, If we are to import demo site without contents. And try to edit the existings pages(designed with wp bakery) with td compser, we only receive ‘this page is not created with TD composer’ and we can start editing page. but of course this is not we want.

When we try to create a new page from scratch we receive the fault below. We found no possibility to work wpml cms – classical editor and td composer together.

This issue was also existed in the live server. So theres no problem with local.

Thank you

Hi,

Please do not use WPBacker on pages/templates/demos that are created with tagDiv Composer, please use tagDiv Composer on those.

This warning https://prnt.sc/njf963 appear when the page is open in back-end editor and saved the page -> https://www.screencast.com/t/gB5El0tWFC if you will click on save on TagDiv Composer and open the page again directly in Composer that warning should not appear.

Please make sure that all the settings are like in our requirements, please follow the guide carefully
https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
and please increase all requirements that are lower, and follow all steps.

When tagDiv Composer is not working -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-not-working/

This can be a plugin conflict, please make sure that you do not have a plugin conflict, please deactivate all non theme plugins, also if you are using child theme or cache plugin, please deactivate them, clear all cache and try again.

Thank you!

Hi Calin

1 – Yes, we would like to move to TD Composer, therefore not using WPB. It was just for curiosity

2- I think you are right. I first created a page, named it. saved it. Got back to pages. Directly clicked on edith with td composer and there’s no fault, and page loads. This is really annoying because I’ve been going through the forum whole day long trying to find a solution.

3- Calin; we really need some guide moving to TD composer. Do we have to recreate every single page once again?

4- For example, when we did a clean wordpress installation, we can go full width design. as in the image.https://pasteboard.co/Ig2Yab5.png
However with an existing web site and clean page creation we cant achive this as in the image https://pasteboard.co/Ig2YsOg.png

Where to find those options with for an existing site.

Hi,

You have more possibilities, you can import some demos and edit theme, but be carefully, if you edit one demo page and you’ll install other demo, or you’ll uninstall the demo, that page will be remove, so will be good to make a new page and set the content in it.
Please check our documentation from here -> https://tagdiv.com/?s=composer

Also you can import pages/sections and templates from tagDiv Cloud Library -> https://tagdiv.com/what-is-the-cloud-library/

The simplest way to achieve a full width is to use a template from tagDiv Cloud Library. There is no one single button push. You have to import a post style and set it as the default post template in the theme panel post settings, then you need to import a category template that is full width and set that one as the default category template. The same for tags, author pages etc:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/ also for pages (stretch row and content ) https://www.screencast.com/t/i8SQ5eS4 .
Please read similar topics:

Also from what I can see your header and footer is stretch to full width -> https://www.screencast.com/t/8dv4sZzdVu3o -> https://www.screencast.com/t/1nXlJduH7

Great, I’ll follow you suggestions to start up a new page on local.

One last question

As you can see in the image the white section is actually empty row. From its settings, I set it to hide. And now There’s a gap I can’t remove or make it visible again. How do we do this?

Hi,

You need to change the view device https://www.screencast.com/t/UUYTxYVKSq -> https://www.screencast.com/t/fayimW05

You can delete the row pressing the delete button, click and hold and drag the row in delete section or using the right click on the row.

Hello Calin

Since our site is being updated daily, I only would like to import the style that I created in local to live site.

What I’d like to achive is that, I’m going to recreate everything in local and when I finish I’d like to upload the style to the live site. Is it possible?

Post count: 35449

Hi,

Yes, this is possible, but depend on what you want to recreate, if is the most part of layout then you can use a plugin do duplicate the website created local and set it on live site, if is just settings from theme panel you can use the Import / Export theme settings -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/import-export-theme-settings/

Thank you!

Hi

Please correct me if I’m wrong.

I have downloaded a demo on local. I’m just recreating pages including home pages. So onlylayouts. Is it enough to import export settings from the theme panel? So all pages get overwritten with the new ones?

Post count: 35449

Hi,

The theme settings are all the settings made inside the Theme Panel area, they don’t include any content or settings made on pages or posts.

Thank you!
