Please try to update the theme to the latest version of it (Newspaper 7.4). Also, if you are using some untested plugins, please try to disable all of them and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme and rule out the conflicting plugins. I have checked your console and you have an error which might appear from these. Clear all your caches, purge CDN files and test it again.

This is most likely a plugin conflict. Please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. ALso remove any javascript compression you seem to have active on your site. Then test the menus again.
