1. We want to update our website so the user can navigate back to the “home” breadcrumb category not the homepage example.com . Ie: Home -> Cola -> Pepsi. How would we do that?

Hi,
I’m not sure exactly how you want the breadcrumbs to display as they already navigate to every level of the categories and sub-categories: http://screencast.com/t/I8StlMTZt
The home is set to the homepage but there is no setting to change it. Any change you want to make to the breadcrumbs need to be hard-coded.
Thank you!

I found I am having the same problem or similar.
How is it possible to have my landing home page designated to a certain category?

@blogwire
Please provide more details as how you want the homepage designated to a category. A page is a page and a category page is a totally different page. There is no way to link 2 different pages to each other via the breadcrumbs. except for the fact that the homepage is the base for every other part of the website the breadcrumb ‘home’ option will always be present in the breadcrumbs as the first option.
Thank you!

Hi,
The page you showed has a simple grid on the homepage filtered to show posts from a specific category. This can be achieved from the block settings: https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-tutorial/
The blocks can also be filtered by a specific category using the same method. http://screencast.com/t/8L4qB5VcCa
Thanks.

Hi,

The layout is exactly as this page only the sidebar is set to left instead of right:
http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/big-grid-1/
The top element is a big grid 1, the bottom element is probably a block 3. i’m not sure fropm the screenshot, but the bottom line is that everything can be added in visual composer. Please follow this topic to see how to use visual composer:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-use-visual-composer/
https://forum.tagdiv.com/homepage-how-to-build-and-set-it/
Please note that if visual composer does not work properly on your side, there was an issue with visual comp[oser and the new version of WordPress. In this case you need to update your theme and the visual composer plugin by following these guides:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/

Thank you!

looks complicated…

Well if you want to have content blocks on your homepage, you will have to learn to use visual composer, yes. There is no other way to insert blocks inside a page.
Please read the documentation and experiment with the pagebuilder.
Thank you!
