Hello, we have built a website and hosted on a space provided by default with a system of high speed cache, that cannot be deactivated. We also cannot change hosting.
We saw that some other users issued the same problem: cache always, for every single page, returns the first display mode (mobile/desktop) used. We have just applied ALL of your suggestion: our provider has an hight speed cache and he cannot deactivate it.
So, if the first device after a cache clearing is a mobile, than all the users, including desktop users, will see the mobile version of that single page, until the next clearing procedure.
In this way we cannot offer a professional website to our visitors and also a service to our advertisers.
This is the website: https://www.rottadeitrasporti.it/
Please, help us with a corrective update because we never seen this kind of behaviour before with a WordPress theme, and we used to set up hundreds of them.
Thank you in advance for your kind help.

Hello @EmilianoB2T!
We have 3 options for mobile versions that you can use:
1. Responsive version: A responsive version of your website looks similar to the desktop version. Edit the page with TagDiv Composer. Click on the mobile viewport: https://www.screencast.com/t/XDQJedlggSB. There you can see your mobile version and edit or adjust the elements to look better.
2. Mobile pages: https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages
3. Mobile theme plugin: The Mobile Theme is a performance-optimized theme included in the main Newspaper theme that only loads on mobile devices. It comes with its own templates and design for pages, posts, categories, etc., so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout. For more information, please visit https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ and https://forum.tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-introduction/.
A full explanation is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY
Please disable the Mobile Theme plugin and see the results!
Thank you!
Hello Bettina, thank you for your help!
We solved deleting the Mobile plugin
Hi,
I am using Cloudflare for caching (no other plugin). I have created a mobile page for the homepage of my website – https://www.buzinessbytes.com/
Sometimes it shows the mobile page on the mobile but sometimes it shows the responsive version of the desktop homepage. I have tried disabling the caching from Cloudflare and even purged the cache several times but nothing is working.
Can you help me with any guidelines to make it work or any JavaScript that need not be minified or create any sort of rule in Cloudflare caching?
Hello Aditya Goel,
I just checked your website and I see that now you also have the WP-Super-Cache -> https://i.imgur.com/BoGzRih.png please check it to be set like in our guide ->https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/ -> https://i.imgur.com/fBdxPbZ.png
I hope this will help you!
Thank you!
Hi Calin,
I have made the recommended configurations in the Wp-Super-Cache plugin. Check this https://imgur.com/puSBmb4 but the result is the same. It is not stable, sometimes serving the responsive version and sometimes the mobile page.
Should I use another plugin like wp-rocket or is there any JavaScript that I have to rule out from caching?
Thanks.
Hi,
The cache plugin is correctly set. I see that you also have the autoptimize plugin, please set it like in our guide -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/autoptimize-install-configuration/
Also, do you use Cloudflare (CDN), if yes, please check it like this -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/cloudflare-cdn/
The wp-rocket can be used too. The users who use it reported a better performance in speed, but this plugin is not free.
Thank you!
Hi,
I have removed both the plugins now, Wp-Super-Cache and Autoptimize.
I have now purchased and used wp-rocket, can you please share the link for the best configuration for wp-rocket with the Newspaper theme so that we can fix the issue and also achieve better performance in terms of speed?
Thanks
There are many optimization guides provided by our users here in the forum, some made by us; you could check some of them
– https://www.infophilic.com/get-almost-100-pagespeed-newspaper-theme/
– https://www.andraware.com/wp-rocket-for-newspaper-theme/
Also, if you are using Cloudflare, please make sure that is set as in our guide https://forum.tagdiv.com/cloudflare-cdn/, you need to disable the Rocket Loader.
Let me know the results!
Thank you!
Hi Calin,
I have made the changes as per your suggestions and able to get the best performance stats.
But, the main problem remains unsolved. I am still not getting the mobile page layout to work in sync, every time there is different layout loads sometimes the responsive version of the homepage and sometimes the mobile page layout.
I am really worried about why it is failing to load the mobile page layout every time.
Please help here.
Thanks
Hi,
If the option for mobile cache is enable then should not be such problems -> https://prnt.sc/G708sdFvS-Sn
If you agree, we can take a look, for this he needed temporary wp-admin access, this can be provided by email to contact@tagdiv.com
Thank you!
Hi,
Yes, this option of mobile cache is enabled as required.
Also, I have created a new user with contact@tagdiv.com to access wp-admin, please check.

Hi Calin,
Please let me know the next steps, I am really not able to understand what exactly is wrong here and why I am not getting the desired result every time the page is requested from the desktop for the desktop page layout and for mobile requests to the dedicated mobile page.
Also, I have sent the wp-admin login details to contact@tagdiv.com with Subject Line “WP-Admin Login Details – http://www.buzinessbytes.com for Mobile Page Layout”
Thanks,
Aditya Goel
