Resources slowing down my site

Hello TagDiv,
My WordPress site http://www.illpaper.com has slowed down to 13 seconds load time.

I did a evaluation on gtmetrix and it showed that resources are slowing down the load.

Do you know why this is may be happening?

And how can I leverage browser caching?

These help a lot. Turns out my issue was caused by asynchronous ads. I have deactivated the ads and load time is now 1.6 seconds.

I will implement your suggestions, including browser caching to make it even faster. This really helps.
