Hi Team,
I hope you’re doing well.
I had a few questions regarding the implementation of some features on **product-wiki.com**, and I’d appreciate your guidance.
1. In the top bar of the website, I have **”My Account”** and **”Subscribe”** options. I also have a **”Write & Publish”** button in the main header. I tried configuring these, but they aren’t functioning as expected. Could you please guide me on the correct way to set them up?
2. I have also added a **Subscribe** section above the footer for the newsletter. Is there a recommended plugin or service that we should integrate (such as Mailchimp, FluentCRM, or another option) to make the newsletter subscription functional?
3. For the **Write & Publish** feature, I’d like users to be able to submit and publish blog posts on the website. Would you recommend using **BuddyPress**, or is there a better plugin or workflow for enabling front-end content submission and user publishing?
Please let me know your recommendations so I can proceed with the implementation accordingly.
Thank you!
Best,
Kunal
Hi,
No problem, I’ll help with what I can.
1. I’ll need more details about what’s not working exactly.
The account element is for logging in or registering -> https://prnt.sc/CfKMNGhSj7ux Which is required if you offer subscriptions for the website visitors, through the plans page here -> https://product-wiki.com/switching-plans-wizard/
The Subscribe button opens a popup, which contains some text and a leads element -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/leads/
2. That’s the same theme leads element, it’s purpose is to gather emails, which you can then export and use in your newsletter services. It isn’t required to use this leads element. If you are using Mailchimp, you could use the form provided by Mailchimp instead -> https://mailchimp.com/help/add-a-signup-form-to-your-website/ That embed code can be loaded in a Raw HTML element from the composer.
3. The theme already has frontend submission capabilities, we added these features some time ago -> https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-theme-12-update-is-live-explore-the-new-features/
All you have to do is to create a page from where the subscribers can submit content -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/create-frontend-submission-form/ You can also set limits based on the plans the users subscribe to -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/subscriptions/ -> https://prnt.sc/fUyrJR_WCnW9
So if your purpose is to provide subscription plans for the website visitors, and based on the subscription plans the subscribers can submit content on your website, this is possible with the theme features, no extra plugins needed. I’ll help as well. I suggest starting by building the content submission page, the guide I provided should be helpful. Then let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you!
Hello Support Team,
I need some guidance regarding a few features on my websites that are currently visible but not functional. I’m using the **Newspaper Theme**, and I would like to know the correct way to set these features up.
My websites are:
* product-wiki.com
* financedecoding.com
I would like to make the following features fully functional:
1. **Subscribe Button (on both websites)**
* When a visitor subscribes to the newsletter, I want their email to be collected.
* They should automatically receive a confirmation or welcome email.
* I would also like to know how I can manage the subscriber list.
2. **Write for Us / Publish for Us (on Product Wiki)**
* I want users to be able to submit articles or guest posts.
* Please let me know the recommended setup and whether I need any additional plugins.
3. **My Account / Login Feature (on both websites)**
* The My Account/Login option is visible, but I’m not sure how to configure it.
* What is the intended functionality, and what steps are required to make it work properly?
4. **Email Us / Contact Feature (on Finance Decoding)**
* I want visitors to be able to send messages through the website, and I should receive those emails in my inbox.
* Please explain the correct setup process.
Could you please provide a step-by-step guide for enabling these features?
Also, if these functions require additional plugins, integrations, or third-party services (such as newsletter services, SMTP/email plugins, user registration plugins, or contact form plugins), please recommend the ones that are compatible with the Newspaper Theme and explain how to configure them.
I’m looking for the complete setup process so that all of these features work correctly.
Thank you for your assistance.
Best regards,
Kunal
Let’s see.
1. That is possible.
The emails will be collected in the Emails section of our subscription plugin, please check the guide I provided above -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/leads/ You can create different lists if you want, and email addresses will be added in the lists. The list can be set on each of the leads element -> https://prnt.sc/aUbTvjHTDCHf
If you want to send an email on subscription, and also to try adn avoid spam, you can use this option -> https://prnt.sc/xegnD4O_3LFc This will send a thank you email and a confirmation link. The email can be customized in the subscription plugin email settings -> https://prnt.sc/N-9sQTmz6MTK -> https://prnt.sc/ipv5bEt3jML7 There are more emails that you can customize there as needed.
The emails can be exported -> https://prnt.sc/A5zlnQhjGAy0 No other management is available, exporting is usually the most important thing to have, so you can then import them in mailing/newsletter service. For example importing into Mailchimp from a file -> https://mailchimp.com/help/import-contacts-mailchimp/
2. I can’t say what your recommend setup is unfortunately, it depends on what type of content you want the subscribers to submit. As I mentioned, please start with a content submission page. A minimal submission page should contain the post title, the featured image, the post content, and of course the submit button -> https://prnt.sc/IZkaOWxFAlGw But you can collect more information relevant to the content type you are using. Custom fields can be used as well, through the ACF plugin.
3. I’m not sure what you mean exactly. The login/register page is for logging in or creating an account. That’s the only purpose of the page.
4. That is a button. It can be configured to open the mailing service of the visitor when pressed, so they can send you an email. Please configure the button like this -> https://prnt.sc/EoTLXYXzZZMD Use your email address.
These features that we are discussing are all theme features. Of course, for example for sending emails it depends on the capabilities of the website and may require a SMTP plugin. I suggest checking with your hosting about it.
Also, if there are things that aren’t working properly, please mention what is not working properly exactly, or provide some examples of the issue. I will check as well and try to help.
I hope that the information I provided is helpful. If you have any other questions let me know.
Thank you!
Hi Support Team,
I hope you’re doing well.
I’m facing an issue with how my website name is displayed in Google Search results.
Currently, whenever one of my pages or blog posts appears on Google, the site name is being displayed as product-wiki.com instead of the website name I have configured.
I have already updated the website name across the theme settings and wherever applicable to:
Product Wiki
(with a capital P and capital W, separated by a space).
However, Google Search results are still showing product-wiki.com as the site name instead of Product Wiki.
Could you please let me know:
Is there any specific setting within the theme that controls the site name displayed in Google Search?
Is there anything else I need to configure to ensure Google recognizes Product Wiki as the website name instead of the domain name?
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
Best regards,
Kunal Salekar
That is entirely up to Google, and it can happen sometimes. The theme doesn’t have direct control over it.
I suggest checking some guides, for example -> https://rankmath.com/kb/display-site-name-in-search-results/
And some discussions -> https://support.google.com/webmasters/thread/296431129/why-google-displays-url-instead-of-site-name-in-serp?hl=en
Please check those out.
Thank you!
