I just bought the theme and am trying to upload. I have downloaded and followed all the instructions on this page:
“The link you followed has expired.
Please try again.”
How can I fix this?
I am new to building a website, so only know how to install the theme via WordPress.
Please can someone assist?

Sometimes due to the server settings, errors like can happen.
In most cases it is the ‘upload max.file size’ that needs to be increased from your host.

So the max upload size is set according to the recommendation (50M), that would be more than enough for the theme. In some cases having an older version of PHP caused the same issue, updating to a newer version (theme supports PHP up to 7.2)solved this problem.
You could give FTP a try, your hosting can provide the FTP access login. FTP is the most reliable method of updating a theme, sooner or later you will have to use it probably. The theme install guide mentions the steps
