Thanks for the link. But I was asking about the problem of the theme status not updating.

I changed the max_input_vars from 1000 to 3000 for http://www.gtsupercars.com over a week ago, but the theme system status still hasn’t updated.

Thanks Simon, that worked.

Hi Catalin,

I changed the max_input_vars successfully to 3000 but the system status still shows 1000 and yellow. Even after refreshing, clearing cache and after a few days, the system status still does not update. And I feel this is the one thing that is causing very slow performance of my website.

IS there anything else I can do to make sure the system status updates?

Thanks

Ah yes, must have been other support that turned it off.

Thanks.

I understand about filtering and working with the blocks, but that’s not my question.

My question is: can the ajax menu across the top of a block be set to show the categories with latest posts?

Example: When I input specific category IDs into the filter, those categories then appear in order along the ajax menu. But I don’t want them to appear in the order I have input them. Instead I want them to appear in order of what categories have latest posts. And I want that ajax menu to automatically change the order of categories in relation to which categories have just published a latest post.

I figured it out.

I wasn’t adding row elements separately. I was merely adding elements straight to the page, thinking that was being added to a different row.

So I’ve just redesigned the page and added rows separately before adding new elements.

Thanks.

System parameters have been increased, and usually by more than suggested to help with the flow.
Everything else works fine, it’s just this matter of all the rows being connected.

And now I’ve started work on another design with the Newspaper theme for another domain, and I have the same problem- I cannot get into the settings for individual rows. When I hover over one row in order to change its settings, all rows highlight as if they’re connected.

Surely this isn’t a new thing?

It’s hard to show you when I can’t give a live demonstration. But when I hover over one row in order for me to click on changes to that row, all the other rows highlight and act as if they are one row. Even when there are other separate rows and media in between each row.
This is getting very frustrating as I cannot make style changes to individual rows on the front page anymore.

ACtually one more thing.

I just tried building the home page and I left the screen before the save completed and when I tried to get back into the composer to fix it, the page was taking a long time to load and an error message appeared: Error at zones: 5(models) : 4(dom). The model does not match the content.

I cleared all caches, even browser cache, deleted that home page and started a new page, but when I visit that I still get the error message.
How can I fix this?

Thanks

Great, thanks for the clarification. All good.

Thanks for the reply Simion,

So just to clarify now that I’ve read your reply- When I install the theme and choose which demo template to use (without content), all my previous content doesn’t automatically appear as it looks in the demo template, I actually have to build the pages or import an already designed page from the cloud library?

Maybe that’s where my frustration has been- Thinking that my front page will automatically appear with my current content, in the demo template design.

I’m having the same problem. Everything has been updated, php.ini amendments made, all is running 100% on my side, and three support teams have advised it is a theme problem.

So much for the Newspaper theme support answering us in 1 day as advertised.

I’ve had three support teams look into this, they have amended the php.ini and everything else that you instruct us to, I’ve run cache clearing and performance tests using WPMUDEV, and had everything quadruple checked and confirmed all has been done on my side, and the advice is that it’s a theme problem.

I am happy to give you the WP-Admin login for you to check.

Thanks,
Ben
