Hi Bogdan,
I can now confirm that the problem doesn’t come from a plugin. Please connect to http://www.chauffeur-vtc-pro.fr. It shouldn’t show the menu. Now, scroll down then come back: the menu is back!
What do think of this?
Thanks
Hi Bogdan,
Opps, sorry, it was http://www.chauffeur-vtc-pro.fr.
I will try tonight to disable the plugins, but last time it happened, it didn’t help and you had to look by yourself.
Anyway, I’ll keep you informed tonight.
Thanks
Hi Catalin,
You were right. Wordfence was blocking it. I switched back to the firewall’s learning mode and and it worked.
Thanks
Hi Bogdan,
The problem is back again: no more menu!
Could you please have a look at http://www.multimediatique.fr ?
Thanks
Hi Bogdan,
Yes, you’ve already suggested it. But I followed all the tutorial steps and it didn’t change the result.
What should I do?
Thanks
Hi Bogdan,
My bad, the theme wasn’t updated since 6.0. Now I’m getting the proper fields. However, it seems to work OK but the counter stays at 0.
What did I miss?
Thanks
Hi Catalin,
Yes, the site is in maintenance, but if you type the full URL I’ve provided you with (http://www.chauffeur-vtc-pro.fr/avpm), you’ll be able to access to the whole site as a visitor. If you still need an administratot, please tell me.
Thanks
Hi Catalin,
OK, I get it. I’ve edited all of them, but the upper one in the sidebar didn’t change (all the others are OK).
What could it be?
Thanks
Hi Bogdan,
I have recreated the menu and it didn’t change a thing. During page loading, the menu is briefly displayed a few tenth of second, then its space becomes blank.
Besides, I currently don’t use a cache and I don’t have a plugin modifying the menu, if this is what you meant.
In the system status, max_execution_time is at 30, and I’m using a demo. I’ve red the guide, and there is no track of the mentioned lines in .httaccess. So I guess it’s in php.ini, but my host doesn’t give access to it. However, this value matter is a bit weird, because my host say it is at 300, not 30 as displayed on the theme system status. If you need more information about my host parameters, please have a look at:
http://fpm5.4-check.cluster011.ovh.net/phpinfo.php.
Any suggestion?
Thanks
Perfect. Thanks
That’s so obvious… now that I know. I’ve been looking for this, but not close enough it seems.
Thanks a lot for your help.
Hi Andrei,
I need to remove author name from all posts. I’ve tried to add the following code in td_module_single_base.php in the place shown in your screenshot (lines 69-71):
if (($this->post->post_author) == 3){
return;
}
However, it didn’t change anything.
Maybe it has to do with getting the author ID you mentioned, but this part was completely unclear to me. First, I couldn’t find the code mentioned. Also, is this supposed to be related to a specific author, because I want to remove all of them?
Thanks
That’s perfect. Thanks.
Hi Bogdan,
Right, but does it seem logical to you that all the darkened banners but this one continue to the right edge? Anyway, can I change that?
Regarding to the other matter I mentionned in the same left box, the uper part of some title letters come over the picture. I understand that this problem wouldn’t occur with a two lines title. However, if you look at the lower right corner block, whose title is three lines long too, the problem doesn’t occur. What about that?
Thanks
Hi Bogdan,
Thanks, that’s much better.
It leads me to another question regarding to big-grid-3. Please check the following picture on the left part: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/11438257/13-10-2015%2017-28-27.jpg
1) The letters of the first line stick on the main picture. That’s strange, since there should be some empty space above the first line, as in the three other parts of the block.
2) The darkened banner under the text doesn’t reach the end of the dedicated space. Here again, unlike the other parts.
Are those bugs?
Thanks
Hi,
I guess it shouldn’t, but it did. I didn’t get the revisions option in “Show on screen”, I didn’t get the Revisions section at the bottom of posts screens, and I didn’t get revisions counting and link in the Publish section. Nothing, like if it didn’t exist.
However, I’ve just tried to modify a post again, and suddenly, after clicking on update, revisions feature appeared where they should be, with the proper modifications counting (4). This looks like a WP bug.
Thanks anyway
Hi,
My bad. It seems that 4.6.3 wasn’t the latest version, far from it. Too bad for automatic update.
I guess that this was the reason why I had different screens and results.
Unfortunately, the manual update to version 6 went bad. Hopefully, I was still testing, since I’ll have to reinstall WP from scratch. We’ll see. But I hope Newspaper 6 will be the only update of its kind.
BR
Hi Alin,
I’m afraid your screenshot doesn’t match with newspaper 4.6.3. In the “Theme Fonts” section now called “Custom typography”, I don’t see any subtitle section. Where is it hidden?
Regarding to the CSS tweak, it didn’t change a thing! Still left aligned. The cache has been emptied, and the change in the custom CSS field saved. What did I miss?
Thanks
Hi,
Perfect, it worked.
Is also possible to use a smaller font size and display it on the right side?
Thanks
