Yep, just discovered 9.7.3 update wiped out all my post templates and reverted theme back to default. I reverted back to 9.7.2.
For some reason the Big Grid Flex 6 was showing 324 X 400, but was showing the images properly. When I changed MODULE CATEGORY GRID 1 Grid Size from xsmall-324 to small-696 they now show properly.
With the Big Grid 10, there is still a problem. There is no way to change the block grid size on it, so the images are really far out of bounds on it after running regenerate thumbnails.
I used the plugin the theme panel and your documentation say to us.

Here are the image before regenerate that look right:

Here they are after regenerate and they look horrible:
At the moment, your speed score is really not bad for such a large home page. Most of your score hits are from google ads or some google embeds, which you can do nothing about other than reduce them or remove them. The important thing is how fast it is loading in seconds, not the speed score.
NewsMag v4.7 is out. It works for me. 🙂
It looks like iconv module for PHP is disabled. Run phpinfo and see if it is enabled. If not, you will have to enable it or get your webhost to enable it.

Sent. The site is running on staging.defiantamerica.com on v4.6 and both sites are on PHP 7.2.
It’s just normal ad stuff failing to load. You are looking at v4.5, not v4.6 too. It works fine with all the ad stuff not loading. It worked fine for 2 years with those ads and with v4.6 it doesn’t. I have disabled all the ads with v4.6 and it still does it with v4.6.
Doesn’t help. I already did all that. Going back to 4.5 works 100% or disabling lazy load works 100%

There is a plugin you can install from WordPress that gives you the old editor back.
There are no errors in the console Catalin. If a post has say, a lot of youtube videos or something, it is more likely to cause the images in the related articles and more article images in the footer to fail. Still no console errors though. They are more likely to fail on mobile for me. Seems like a slower loading page do to mobile device is more likely to cause it. Even on the same wifi.
I saw that when I went there with Microsoft Edge browser and it took 3 or 4 seconds before I saw anything, but on other browsers I did not have that long of a lag for first time. Then it loads quick. I cleared cache of everything and it is loading fast. I see that from time to time on other sites. I don’t know, it seems fine to me. It is perceivable faster on mobile than my own site.
It loads super fast for me on desktop and mobile. I don’t see any problem. 🙂
It’s a known problem with the latest version. Goto Theme Panel >> Template Settings >> Image Loading and turn off the animation effect.
Thanks Maten. I didn’t even know there was an option to turn that off.
TagDiv will have to supply v4.5. I doubt if it is permissible for me to supply it.
I downloaded v4.6 again and installed it, but that did not fix it. I went back to v4.5 and have no troubles and v4.5 even loads faster.

I see the problem on this page in the “similar news” section and “more news” in the footer like my site.

It depends on if you mean your pagespeed score with Google or GTMetrix or if you mean perceivable pagespeed. Speedscore sites are unrealistic. If you don’t beleive me, check Amazon home page and it has a terrible pagespeed score, but it’s fast.
I can help you if you reply with URL so I can see it.
Here is what my screen looks like when the images don’t load.

I see the same thing on Anyagu site https://www.thenewsclue.com that I see on mine

After I reload his site, the images appear.

I am having problems with images breaking on first load of my site after not visiting it for a while. It will also frequently not load the images on the “related articles” post carousel or the “even more news” in the footer. I didn’t notice this until the upgrade to the latest theme. It does this on my PC with Internet connection and on mobile phone on the mobile connection. It also seems the theme loads the images unusually slow on the phone when they don’t break. I have tried disabling all the ads and a lot of plugins. It is worse at not loading images on mobile. They break quickly like they don’t exist. I turned off cloudflare caching and it does it with or without it. I disabled super cache and it does nothing to help. https://defiantamerica.com/
First, you screenshot is of an article and not the homepage, so you are comparing apples to oranges. If you had looked at homepage at close to 767px, like I show above, you would have seen the ad encroaches on the content below it.
I have other projects now. No time to deal with this. Thanks!
