Thank you for the info, Catalin!

Yes indeed, this works with Newsmag theme itself, if I switch to it from my child theme. However, I don’t want to switch away from my child theme, because how otherwise can I customize category description, specific header/footer settings that aren’t covered by tagDiv plugin API?

I really wish your team could add more support for the child themes, or otherwise significantly expand the API, or perhaps at least add some hooks/filters for customizing minor sections of each page or template.

As Catalin mentioned in the similar post – https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/using-tagdiv-composer-text-editor-does-not-work/ – the issue has been fixed in the latest version of the theme. Downloading and re-installing it solved this for me.

Indeed, now it works! Thanks!

Oh, I found it 🙂
It’s the very last option in the responsive settings – I whould simply choose
Display: hidden
for rows/columns which I want to hide for individual platforms (mobile/tablet/desktop).

Somehow I missed this earlier
Anyway, thanks! It’s working 🙂

Are there any plans to improve the support for child theme customization for the next release?

If not, then perhaps you should emphasize more explicitly that customizations via plugins is preferred over child theme customizations.

Same as Fabrizio Azzali, I will have to redo my child theme customizations. This time I’ll move all my code into a plugin.

Please remove “Contact Form 7” from the list of “Tested Plugins”. It breaks styles dramatically.

Hi Andrei,

Yes, I am aware of manual customization and backup things as well 😉

My task is to somehow merge live website (which has new content since it was ‘forked’ for using Newsmag) with the demo website.
I will probably have to either:
1. Copy the content from the live website to demo and redo all the modifications
2. Merge databases (and files) manually

Now, when I think about it… Perhaps I can survive with simpler things like:

Have a nice weekend!
