Problem seems to have resolved itself.
Hi,
Followed all the steps and both guides and ran into numerous problems…
When I deleted every plugin and reinstalled the tagdiv plugins, I kept getting the ‘no valid headers’ error for every plugin, so I installed them manually. When I downloaded the social counter plugin and went to the widget tab to enter my social media accounts and save, it keeps disappearing (as if I never installed it). This is happening with all tagdiv plugins. Every other plugin has been deleted.
I have to go back to 8.5 again, but again the social counters won’t show up on the homepage. IS there any update soon that can provide a fix for this. I’ve had this issue for months now and I’ve reinstalled the theme and plugins so many times now I can’t count.
Thanks for you continued help.
FM
Hi,
Thanks for the reply and sorry for the delay. I didn’t recieve a follow-up email.
It seemed to reappear after I reinstalled and activated it. Thanks for the help!
Thanks for the reply. That’s good to know. I still have the issue with the 3 random images showing just above the footer on the desktop version. Is this related to the new update to the theme? Thanks!
I don’t have Super cache enabled as my hosting comany insists on me using their SiteGround cache.
The site is http://www.burrardstreetjournal.com/
This us the adcode that I have inserted into the inline ad box. It is the same code as the sidebar.
<script async src=”//pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js”></script>
<!– Side bar square –>
<ins class=”adsbygoogle”
style=”display:inline-block;width:300px;height:250px”
data-ad-client=”ca-pub-4970570449239367″
data-ad-slot=”9905309537″></ins>
<script>
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
</script>
Let me know if you need anything else.
Thanks,
John
I think it may be because I had A 300 X 250 Ad near the top of the article. Do I also need to label the ads too however?
Have google really relaxed this? I just got a notification from them saying they will remove my ads if I don’t comply with something (I’m not sure what). Any idea?
Hi,
This page does not seem to have anything relating to this topic on it.

Hi Catalln,
Sorry I understand now. I though visual composer was tagDiv’s own plugin, so that’s why I was wondering why it didn’t work. That solves that. I’ll try and delete the plugins now, and see how it goes.
Thanks,
It’s actually just happened again. It’s deleting my focus keyword from posts too, which is strange. Any advice?
But I had a featured image set for all of these posts. The images just suddenly disappeared. If you look at an older version of my site you’ll see the images were all there.
And also, how do I fix the problem with the visual composer plugin updating automatically? I’m still getting messages about an update to 4.12. Is that not correct?
Thanks,
JJ
Hi Catalln,
Sorry for the late response.
I have the latest versions of everything.
I can ignore the notice about: “Please activate your copy of Visual Composer.” but the site is not updating automatically? Is this normal?
Also do you suggest not installing any plugins other than those in the bundle whatsoever? So plugins like Yoast, Jetpack, FB pop-up plug in, cannot be used? Or are they not required?
Sorry for all the questions but my page speed has dropped significantly since I updated to Newspaper 7, so I’m trying anything to increase it.
Thanks for your help again!
Hi Catalin,
Thanks for your reply.
I can’t find the TagDiv Speed booster plugin. Where do I locate or install it.
I think I will hire a developer to fix the problems but that plugin might be enough.
Thanks again
