the cause of the issue is that when you select a background color in the theme panel general color settings, it causes the effect i have described. This appears to be a nasty bug which cost me about a day of time!

Hi, I have spent hours debugging. If I copy paste the short code for the webpage into another new page in the same site, it renders with the same problem. I have a multi site installation. If I select another site and do the same, the page is absolutely fine. It therefore appears to be something about the original site that is wrong, especially since past backups have the same problem. That problem, which I can define better, is that none of the rows are stretching as specified, they all show as a 1200 or 1400px block. Additionally, i have a background image as a hero section which has negative top margin to push the image under the header section. This has been working for weeks. But now the row does not move up, instead the image inside the row moves up. Another row with background image also demonstrates clearly that the row is not stretching. Something with the theme and this site seems to be affecting the design. I tried removing custom CSS and JS in theme panel, makes no difference. Same with the backups, its got to be the theme or theme settings but i looked over all the obvious things. Hope you are able to find something and happy to give you access.

TY so much, that was it! One other question. I dont want to have a “Solutions” page, just for it to be a menu option with sub items. How do i stop that from being clickable plse?

Thx, i see this is a three hour video. I am sure thats an amazing video but I could create the entire html and css for my site in that time without a template! Plse let me ask some specific questions. I have added a blank cloud header and footer to the first page i created. i can add menu items etc later but how do i make that design the default template for all pages? And if i then want a second page layout, i guess i can duplicate the first design and then edit it, but again how do i save that as an alternative page template? Many thx

PS when i set the footer cloud blank template i still see a tagdiv footer in design mode: Add menu© Newspaper WordPress Theme by TagDiv and clicking this says this type of footer is not editable with tagdiv composer. please use a cloud footer template. BUT i have just done exactly that!!!!

Thx but I cannot find a way of doing that. I understand the principle but when i drag the ad box i cannot find a placement option in the header other than under the logo which of course is nonsense. Can you elaborate please?

Note I have removed the theme ad code for now but you will see a banner ad on the home page which i have done using an ad box module. This only appears on the home page sadly as otherwise I would be happy to use this as a solution. Perhaps there is a way?

Hi thanks for the suggestion. I added this as a CSS module on the template but it made no difference. I see that the iframe that the video sits in is set to width=”600″ height=”560″. This is an incorrect aspect ratio for video and I cannot find a setting to control this. Frankly, my team has spent far too much time on this. I dont really want to mess around with code, it should be native to the element configuration. I would like to control the height or width but keep the aspect ratio.

Another issue is that I would like to show my own image over the video before the video plays. I enter an image in the post but it looks like this is ignored.

Hi sorry to post here but I simply cannot find a button that says NEW Post!!!

I have an issue with Newspaper theme template for video post called GTM Single Post Template Video. I have a second issue in that inadvertently i checked the Global box next to this template in WP Cloud templates and have no idea what this has done or how I undo this. Can you advise plse?

Bettina, this issue was reported to me by two users/visitors so whilst i can clear my cache it is not a “me only” issue which is why I need to get to the bottom of it. It includes tagdiv editor screen shot showing one of the many elements that are affected showing the element font set correctly.

The i have used console network throttling to show you exactly the problem.

Then i have copied the theme font settings so you can verify this is correct.

Hopefully from this we can establish if i have overlooked something or whether this is a bug or other issue.

I see reference here to Default font which should be oswald but it does not explicitly state this?

My settings are as per the link your provided. I am working on site optimisation because it is slow and the font issue is more apparent, like it is visible as a Times New Roman type font for seconds. Are there further debug steps we can take?

That is correct but when the site renders on a slow connection the fonts first appear as times new roman and something very close. Its only after a short while the correct default font replaces them. I would like to completely remove all references to other fonts, I guess your own default fonts for the theme. Please advise how i do this. Thx

I now discover that when rendered the margin is not there. So basically your editor is no longer wysiwyg

I am having similar problems again and really, this never used to be like this and is extremely frustrating. An inner row with 3 columns and the row shows as having about 50px margin/padding. I have set inner row and all columns to 0 top/bottom padding and margin, but it makes no difference. And when I make these changes, my inline text changes position depending on what i am doing, and then i find i cannot select that column. so i have to save and refresh to get back control. After you have done that 20 times or more it really does question why i am using this software. it seems to have seriously deteriorated recently/.

Thanks for your help. How strange that you have implemented things like this, most unconventional. Also hitting enter or enter twice is rather ambiguous. But hey… I have implemented this without gaps cos frankly, it just doesnt work when you have borders.
