I was reading on another forum how to repair this and I have deleted that row entirely by mistake instesad of just clearing the data. Do you have a suggestion on how to recreate that row td_live_css_local_storage ?

Hey yall, same issue here, been plaguing me for a week before I hunted it down and found it in the custom javascript window. Just by chance decided to check the forum here to see if anyone else had the issue. Exact same code injected into the javascript window that was mentioned above by @walshcreative

deleting the code from the window “fixes” it, but not sure if it will reappear.
None of my code audting platforms were able to detect it. (wordfence or mysites.guru)

running 11.5.1 on wordpress 6.1

Thats what I concluded as well, not a theme issue.

I explained it to them, they do not like the idea of switching hosts since they think it’s a better system than buying hosting independently “and” it includes all Jetpack’s paid services. It actually is not a bad deal costwise….but it limits what can be done in regards to how admins can interact with the site and the tools they can use.

It’s not just isolated to the toolbar issue either, I have found some other plugins that just simply say “not compatible with your version of wordpress” and they canot be installed. Such as a few caching plugins. Plus on their end, there isnt any sort of hosting cpanel that they could use perform more advanced tasks that WHM or Cpanel would have. and I am not clear on how the lack of toolbar issue affects their guest bloggers or their projected registered users. I just dont trust it and dont like being at the mercy or under the thumb of WordPress / Jetpack proper.

This seems like a great affordable thing inclusive thing for small simple sites, but not for businesses.

So ultimately they have decided to consider switching hosts, but until then the project is on hold until all the data is gathered and approval is given from their team.

I have tried 20 different methods to get this toolbar for TD to appear and the WordPress.com toolbar to disappear….sadly, it’s just not happening.

What I can conclude from some google and forum searches is that when a site is hosted on WP.com, wordpress business or VIP hosting ect.

Then the Jetpack toolbar MUST be used, it cannot easily be disabled. Jetpack module settings dont let you disable it from the site backend or the wordpress.com account backend. They also prevent you from disabling JetPack entirely.

The only workaround I can find to be able to edit in TD is to go to the page you want to edit and use the “edit with TD composer” from the page edit/quck edit menu under the item. It seems to work properly and the typical TD composer screen appears and accepts changes.

Unfortunaltely this really hinders how admins interact with their site, as that toolbar has alot of features that can be accessed quickly from the frontend. Notifications, stats, monitorign, creation buttons, cache settings ect. It feels like a step back in progress.

if anyone has some insight on how to remedy this, feel free to chime in.

I found a way to resolve this, but I dont know if there is a better way without without having to use custom code. Not sure if this is attainable using the composer or not.

I added this to custom css:

no problem, hopefully it gets added.

additonally i have no plugins installed only tagdiv

I am also having this issue on a clean install updtated from a recent previous verison, I cannot edit, modify or even select existing blocks created before the update.

todays fix,
when adding html or content block and you cannot edit the text because the wp-editor just keeps spinning and not loading.

add your block as a column text, and give it a title in the title field, save, close, open from pages in the dashboard, then edit with TDVC. dont try to edit from the front page button, seems to work for us.

this issue has resurfaced again for no apparent reason.

yes I was looking to be able to make the white box smaller as well. After I reduce the amount of articles that load. I will give it a test shortly.

There are indeed a ton of options!
I waste time doing the exact same thing.

You seem to have a good control of what you are doing on your new site, but I would make those fonts a little bigger.

and I also wish we could assign different size images for things more easily.
I have been using the “flex” layout blocks to get things exactly the way I want in regards to displaying images on standalone pages.

and I wish we had a little easier control over mobile menu items vs desktop menu items.
I know you can hide/show these things in CSS but they still load for a split second until css kicks in and hides them. which is hit or miss depending on your cache settings and connection speed and server speed.

yeah, I am experimentig with this template and woocommerce, it isnt going to work. The stlying and presentation options for the woo-stuff just isnt there and too time consuming to add and maintain.

I want the benefit of having the TD composer and a woocart.
for basic things it might work out, but this client has at least 100 items all with advanced variations.

oh well, I’ll keep looking for something. Maybe a woocommerce VC template or something.

solved for now, open in page editor, then load TDcomposer from the page editor instead of loading from the front page. No clue why this would be effective.

On a mobile device, you have the option to “add to home screen” which is the purpose of having ios / retina icons. On this theme it is called bookmarklet located at: Newspaper – Theme panel — header —ios bookmarklet.

Adding to homescreen emulates a webapp experience. but with other scripts i have used, add to home screen will also hide the toolbar or give option to skin it especially in ios because the toolbar becomes huge.
