some days it’s normal and some days my logo/image /header is gone and it’s a grey row with generic text. as i said, i made the header from a blank template so i don’t understand. please let me know what settings i should have because i’ve tried them all. i’ve tried uploading the logo in the ‘logo’ section of the theme panel and i’ve tried not uploading it there but either way it eventually it disappears and i’m left with the grey demo text header. also, when the header goes to the generic logo it also makes my menu white and next to the menu are social media buttons – this is not how my menu looks normally.

…and no matter what i choose for mobile (logo, no logo..) the header on my phone also shows a grey banner that says newspaper!

i have managed to get a calendar widget in the sidebar but when i create a new event using the calendar plugin it creates them on a WP page without all of my newspaper default settings and unlike all other new pages i have no “tagdiv composer” option on the page.. usually when i create a new page in WP i am able to choose “tagdiv composer”
i know it’s not your plugin but is there a way to use my newspaper theme’s default for pages.. or a way to use the composer on these pages?

as you see from my previous response i did exactly that..
i add a sidebar widget to the page and choose the MEC and nothing happens..nothing happens when i choose ANY of my sidebars.. it just remains a box that says widget sidebar – exactly like it looks in your screenshot.

3. drop down menu of several of my widgets to choose from – including the one MEC provides
4. the box on the homepage still says “widget sidebar” and nothing shows.

if i move the MEC widget to my newspaper default sidebar it will show as part of that sidebar on all pages but NONE of my sidebars show on the homepage when i ‘add’ ‘widget sidebar’ to the homepage.

i have tried for a week to insert the provided MEC sidebar widget onto my homepage and it doesn’t work. (in fact regardless of which of my sidebar widgets i choose after inserting a widget nothing shows). because i was forced to insert my calendar instead of the mini widget version MEC provides it is taking up half the page. i have asked them for help and nothing works and they say to contact the theme author.

(i made this slider on a post page but couldn’t get it to be on homepage for some reason and it says above that slider revolution must be used.)
last question: normally i would want it on the homepage without linking to a post but if i wanted to link to a post how do i do that? (one of the gallery options is ‘link to attachment page’ does that just mean the post page url?)

i am SO CONFUSED – i REALLY appreciate your effort in helping.. i will try to explain: i have easily made a slider gallery on a post page using the WP classic block and slider element and it includes 5 images from media gallery with captions. it goes through the 5 photos by clicking an arrow. all i want to do is recreate that on the homepage (ie. a contained (bordered) gallery of 5 photos that advance on click). apparently i must use revolution slider on the post instead, and insert the shortcode on the homepage. i get that, but first i must create the slider.

the first problem is that when i click ‘slider revolution’ in the WP dashboard i don’t get the same options as shown in your link. I don’t get “new slider”.. my options are what shows in the bottom of your link: new blank module, new module from template or manual import.

*nowhere do i see ‘content source – default sidebar’

i am forced to choose blank module and then choose slider and then choose auto (which is supposed to automatically adjust size to container width). the next option is Classic, Linear Resizing and then the editor opens where i get a complicated layout that is geared more to using graphics and layers and looks nothing like what’s shown in your links. i must resize EACH photo individually and what shows on the post page is floating photos that are not contained with a border or in a size that fits (either huge or tiny as i alter the settings) and photos change by timer and no arrows even though i chose arrows and look nothing like the post page one.) they also have no caption.

then, i copy the code from the editor and paste it onto the homepage in column text and all i see is the code.

i assume, from your links, that if i had the sidebar option i could just choose my 5 photos, insert the shortcode into a ‘text’ element on the homepage and that’s it.

please help.

i finally got it there with text with title but is there a way to make it tiny?

Yes, I did all that however your instruction says to choose post based – does this mean that i can insert this slider without having to also post to a page other than homepage? (i tried post based originally but it did not allow me to choose 5 specific photos to include).

Whether I choose post based or something else I have to still manually choose photos for each layer and the sizing is massive unless I manually alter the size of each layer .. I see no difference between post based or any other setting. Either way it will not allow me to have it advance on click and be in a similar contained block like the slider from tagdiv on post pages.
can you please explain IN DETAIL?

yes i realize that..
-i uploaded the plugin for revolution from the zipped file.
-under newspaper panels “install premium plugins” it shows slider as “optional” instead of “active” even though i have activated it and in WP plugins it shows as activated.
– i am missing elements and i assume it’s because i haven’t entered a registration key…? (even though i uploaded the zipped file that came with my theme packaged). also, i added the element to the homepage and entered the code for it but is there no way to have it advance on click and be in a similar contained block like the slider from tagdiv on post pages?

*the only way to have anything on homepage is to assign a featured image with “read more” button but then on the post page itself i have an image at the top AND the slider!

the example you sent https://imgur.com/MkXeBrV is for adsense – which i specifically said i am not using. i am very confused. based on your response am i able to insert banners however these banners are set to be in certain areas (header, footer etc) how do i ad them beside each other in the same row in the centre of the page and not on the sidebar, header or footer?

i do not want to ad a single banner – i would like to know how to ad a row of square custom ads..all in one row. you said “this code is according to this one” – i do not know the code… i do not understand the response.
lastly, if i set the codes ( i still don’t know how to set a code) in the panel does this mean i will not have to constantly adjust size change it when i change the images weekly?

under ‘add’ there are two ads to insert – my ad template and ad box. please tell me the difference and please explain to me step by step how to insert SEVERAL square ads in a single row. (and how to make a 125×125 or 250×250 pixel template). thank you.

(still don’t understand)

i want to insert custom image ads.. (images that will be sent to me to post by local businesses.)i have read everything on the site and it says i can do that but doesn’t really explain how (unless they are adsense/google ads etc) for someone who is new to this.

i asked you how to add ads without them affecting the row and you replied that it’s not possible however the site states: “Keep the ad in its own separate row” – how?

the site says: “by hosting local businesses’ ads” – this is what i want: small image ads from local businesses linking to their sites. i do not understand how.

“The new “Ad Box” element added into the tagDiv Composer makes it easy for you to copy-paste the ad codes straight on the front end. What’s more, you can even use this shortcode to display local business ads.” – i would like to know how to do this.

“Sample image ad with different images for each device: This is just for custom ads. ” – where do i get the codes? how do i set the size? (i see where to set adsense sizes but that’s all) i would like local business ads to be in aprox. 95×300 rectangular boxes one below the other down the right column/sidebar and in another area of the homepage i would like a row of them 125×125 across. (i have tried every way to get ad boxes across including creating a row with 3 columns and inserting an inner row to each that has 2 columns… otherwise ads placed just go below and not beside each other – if i don’t put a row it doesn’t work – i know this is incorrect but i don’t know how to do it. ) how do i create a template with the set sizes so i don’t have to do it every time?

(if i can figure it out i would like this to be added to all other pages but for now i am trying to do it on the homepage.)

thank you – it seems nothing can REALLY be customized with this template afterall.
but rather than just say i can’t make the right side independent, can you not at at least provide suggestions and help as to how i can insert 125×125 pixel or 250×250 pixel squares into the right side?

no.. i would like the right side column to be INDEPENDENT of the rest of the page so i can add ads one under the other in the right column/inner row without affecting the rest of the page’s rows.. i tried creating a sidebar but it doesn’t work.. anything i add (whether an inner row or a custom ad spot or widget etc.) to the right side causes everything to the left of it (ie. the news content) to move/adjust with it (ie. if i have a main row divided into 3/4 & 1/4 and want the 3/4 to be blocks for news and the 1/4 to insert custom ads one under the other, because the ads are vertically shorter than the block i have a large space before i can insert the next one underneath – it is not independent of the centre/left – does that make sense??) thank you.
