Also, the code is already in place with || is_child_theme() and it is still not respecting theme panel settings.

Actually, it does not appear to be fixed in the latest version. Can you confirm as I have clients running latest 10.3.4 version and it is not fixed.

Vlad,
Thanks for the canned response. Yes, we have all of the system requirements and yes we have already disabled all plugins and cleared cache. We have also tried disabling the TagDiv Standard Pack plugin, reverting to base Newspaper theme, not child theme, as well and the issue still persists.

Please actually give some legitimate advice on troubleshooting this rather than another canned response please.

I too am having this same issue. We are using the child theme and no matter what we try the header and footer options in the website manager do not actually save when saving the post.

Calin,
At first glance this appears to be working as intended with your code change! Will this change be added into the core plugin in the next update? I just want to make sure this doesn’t get overwritten since it is in the parent plugin.

Thanks!

I was able to confirm that when using the Child theme provided with Newspaper theme, the blog settings do not work as indicated previously. We are currently using the latest version + child theme + standard pack plugin.

We need to use a child theme and do not wish to redo the entire site using the Parent Theme.

What is your solution for this?

Hi Calin. Embedding YouTube is no longer working on my site as well. Please see the following video showing the problem. https://www.loom.com/share/c74dccd8e28e4bcf9a53c1f3f6d4366b

None of our plugins have changed and YouTube embeds were working previously, so this is not likely to be a plugin conflict.

Ah, never mind! I just got it to work using c/UC3qSAfUr31mJrP0W91JcqxA …. sure would be great if the social counter would work with vanity URLs though. Keep up the great work on this theme, gang! One of the best out there …

Simion, does that work for vanity YouTube URLs as well? My YouTube channel is https://www.youtube.com/c/Localmarketinginstitute. I put c/Localmarketinginstitute into the widget and it’s not showing any subscribers. I’ve also tried the standard YouTube URL channel/UC3qSAfUr31mJrP0W91JcqxA and I’m not seeing any subscriber count there either. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance!
