Hi Anamaria, Thanks for your reply. Please can you help me further?

– The guide that you sent (ie https://peachleafstreet.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/Screen-Shot-2022-09-19-at-09.43.59.png) seems to be outdated, as the Google AdSense menu at least for me is different and there are not the same options (ie mine looks like: https://peachleafstreet.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/Screen-Shot-2022-09-19-at-09.38.28.png and the guide looks like: https://peachleafstreet.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/Screen-Shot-2022-09-19-at-09.59.51.png).

Do you know possibly another guide?

– Following your guidance I have removed the code in the header section of analytics (Theme panel > Analytics/JS Codes > header script code), but isn’t this just for tracking? Not for placement of ads? I’m not sure this is a good idea as it might affect the data in SiteKit. Please can you confirm this is only for ad placement?

Unfortunately, it seems to have made no change to ad placement.

– Ads for Google is switched off, but the ad is still there. I have cleared cache.

https://peachleafstreet.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/Screen-Shot-2022-09-19-at-09.53.34.png

So, coming back to my original query, I had added an ad box to my page which now I cannot remove… I understand Google will fill it, but if I remove the box surely there is not way for them to fill it?

In other words, is there no other way of just reversing this particular action of placing the ad box?

Many thanks
Carrie

Thank you! It is the peach coloured ‘Subscribe’ box I would like to remove. It is not the side bar. It is the full width subscribe box. I do not want to change it, I just want to take it away.
When I try to click on it to remove it, nothing happens, it won’t be highlighted for any editing options.

When I edit in this screen, as you can see in this screenshot, the subscribe box does not appear at all:

Much appreciate your help as it’s driving me mad! 🙂

Hi Newspaper theme support! I am still struggling to fix this one. I still can’t see where to delete the subscriber box? You mention a ‘modal popup’but I can’t highlight the subscriber box. Maybe this is part of the footer..? But I can’t see where i can edit this footer? Can you please help me? Thank you so much

Thank you @pesareiran & Anamaria. The Standard pack sorted my issues. I am concerned when you say “we encourage you not to activate and install this plugin”. Are you saying my site will be slow and heavy?? But if I don’t use the plugin then my site isn’t working. What do you suggest?

Edit: I’ve managed to roll back the theme to 11.2 but unfortunately this still hasn’t solved my problems. I’ve also figured out that the files in the back up which say ‘corrupted’ are only in the ‘uploads’ section. I don’t know if that means anything! I have restored the sections of ‘plugins,’ ‘themes’ and ‘others’

My main concerns:
– The home page logo is missing
– ‘Latest posts’ is loading the ENTIRE blog posts, slowing down the whole home page. It used to have a partial paragraph and then say ‘read more’. I can’t find anywhere to edit this. I click on it in the edit with TagDiv composer screen but it’s not clickable (this is in the lower half of my home page where it says ‘latest posts’).
– An entire section devoted to parties is missing on the home page. In its place is some HTML jargon

Thanks again

That’s fine. Can you please recommend a picture size that works fairly well across the website theme? What have the designers used for the Craft Ideas template for example? Many thanks

Ah.. OK.

I’m thinking if I change the size in media to suit the posts listed on the categories page, the photo then may appear differently in the ‘Top posts’ in the sidebar, and differently on featured posts on the home page, and on other parts of the website where the container size is different.

Can you recommend an image size that will look uniformly attractive across most parts of this website theme, please? Perhaps I will need to change all photos to this size, so it is quite important to get an optimized size for all.

Many thanks

Hi, not the logo image but all of the post images, please? Maybe they’re called thumbnails, I’m not sure. Thanks

Hi! Sorry for delay, I hit reply in the email and it’s only now come back as mail undelivered.

Have you checked on an actual mobile phone? I’ve checked on three different phones and it’s definitely not there! Can you help me for finding the problem, please?

Thanks

Hi,
All sorted thank you. I had to enable it and then disable it, but in the end, it worked! Thanks

Hi,
Please can you explain ‘If you want to have the image size from the media library you can use the inline single image element that takes over the size from the media library’? Are you referring to my question about images within the blog post? I think I’m fin in choosing the image size int he media library. But my question is, what is container size that will hold that image, so that I can therefore resize it. Thank you!
Also, in regards to the blocks and grids, thank you for helping me choose the image size there. But I still don’t know what the container size is for those thumbnails. That’s the bit we’re missing. Thanks again!

Thanks for your reply Anamaria.

Sure, I can explain. A container is the width of the content holder. It sometimes refers to sidebar width for example. In this case, Newspaper theme has an image size and a container size. The container is smaller than the image, causing a red flag for site speed tests. Please can you tell me where I can find the container sizes for the images in the blog posts? Thumbnail container sizes are also helpful. Then I can resize my images to suit.

Thank you!

Hi! How do I get to the page you have in the screenshot? My bar at the top is part of a menu (widget). I can’t see a ‘row’ feature.

Thanks!
