Really? So passwords have to be composed of only lower and uppercase letters? That seems very insecure.
This plugin says it is “a consent solution for non-businesses.” We are a business that will be making transactions. Do you still recommend this plugin for gdpr?
Hi Bettina,
Why do you recommend this gdpr compliance plugin? When I click on it in Add Plugins it says “Warning: This plugin has not been tested with your current version of WordPress.”
There are other GDPR plugins with more use and higher ratings. We had been using Termly, an external service. Is there any advantage using one of these plugins over an external service such as Termly? Thank you.
Ok, it looks like the font size is different in the editor. When I preview the draft, the font size goes back to my Theme Panel preset size. Not sure why this is.
I would like to have a left margin vertical line next to the quote. The “quote box” option in Newspaper theme only puts the left-margin vertical line next to the citation block, not the quote itself–the quote itself also seems to be in “paragraph” formatting, not quote formatting.
I then tried using the block “classic editor” and its “quote box center” option. This option gives me the vertical line in left margin next to the quote, but then the font size changes to a much smaller font than my content font size–I want it to remain the same size as my normal paragraph content. It says the font size of the “quoate box center” option is in “paragraph” format, however it is a different size than my article’s regular text “paragraph” font size. Where do I change the font size in classic editor? If it’s in the Newspaper Theme Panel, I need to know EXACTLY where to go, because the classic editor “quote” paragraph size is different from the normal content paragraph size. Thank you.
Thank you very much for the helpful responses.
I have two additional follow-up questions:
1) Within WordPress Dashboard>>Newspaper>>Plugins, there is a list at the bottom of the page for “Tested Plugins.” One of these is the “GDPR Cookie Consent- GDPR compliance plugin.” When searching for this plugin I get multiple GDPR plugin options. Which one is the TagDiv/Newspaper recommended GDPR plugin? The two top search results are made by “Cookie Yes” and “Really Simple Plugins.”
2) Point 6 within tutorial (https://forum.tagdiv.com/paypal-setup/) instructs a test payment using PayPal personal account details. However I cannot find where this simulation pay prompt is located. Am I to use the PayPal pay prompt on the actual website? The tutorial shows the URL as a Sandbox simulation prompt (sandbox.paypal.com/webapps), but I cannot find where this is located to input the test information.
Thank you.
Thank you very much for the tutorials. I just have a few follow up questions I couldn’t find answers to in the tutorials:
Are subscribers automatically added to the newsletter mailing list?–meaning, are both paid subscribers and newsletter subscribers collected on the same list?
Does Optin Builder indicate if the person signed up as a subscriber vs. newsletter subscriber?
Is there a free subscription option that includes an option for a subscriber to donate a subscription?
Please explain the “over 20 subscribers” fee. What is the fee after 20 subscribers? Is there a fee if the subscriber chooses the free subscription option?
Starting the Subscription Setup Wizard automatically enables the “anyone can register” option. Can this be turned off? Is checking the “anyone can register” box a website security risk?
Is there a fee for the TagDiv GDPR plugin? Is it recognized on the new Google GDPR list for businesses?
Thank you.
Think I figured it out. Thanks.
I just turned off the site security and updated. That seems to have worked.
Thank you. Do you recommend that I deactivate security plugins and/or all plugins before updating to the newest Newspaper version?
Can you explain a bit more? How will uploading a backup help? Has the 12.3.1 update been fixed for glitches? I don’t want to have the same problem again. Thank you.
Should I just login to the Envato Market website and re-download from there? If so, which download should I acquire? “All files and documentation” or “Installable WordPress file only?” Thank you.

When I add Google Adsense code in the Ad Box “custom code” tab and hit save, the code doesn’t seem to save. If I close out of the TagDiv editor after saving the code, then reopen and check the “custom code” tab, there is no longer code in the box–it is just blank. Why is my Adsense code not saving?
Thank you.
What is the point of having an automatic update if the manual update is recommended? The FTP process seems kind of tedious.
By “extra plugins” do you mean I should update without any plugins activated or just specific select plugins?
When I add the “Ad box” element to my pages, do I paste the code under the “Custom Ad” tab?
I am unable to add an “Ad Box” to my category pages because they are not pages, they are categories. Does Google Adsense need the initial Adsense code pasted in all Pages, Category Pages, and Posts?
Also, under the “Ad box” element’s “General” and “Image Ad” tabs, there are prompts to enter URL’s. What are these URL’s for?
Thank you.
I re-added the code in this area, but I’d done that before.
I’m currently using a header template for my homepage, so the header is not the Newspaper Theme header. Do I need to add the code to header within the header template on the homepage?
Do I have to treat templates different than a regular Newspaper theme site? Do Adsense Auto Ads work with templates?
The tutorial said Google usually needs to see 6 months of content before it adds Adsense. Is that correct? Will we have to wait 6 months?

Thank you very much for the information and recommendations. I currently have both Mobile and Amp turned on. I was able to edit the site within TagDiv Composer’s phone viewport. When I’m editing in TagDiv’s phone viewport, while also having Mobile & Amp turned on, am I using the “responsive” theme or the “Mobile” theme?
Thank you.
But which options are best for website speed?
Which options are best for ease of use?
It seems that the tagdiv mobile page templates would be much more time consuming because the website has to be rebuilt everytime there is a change on the desktop version. Is that correct?
Is the “responsive version” simply Newspaper theme without Mobile Theme or Mobile Pages?
Thank you.
