Thank you Alan,

I appreciate your input, but people like me require more specific instructions than “move the code where you need.”

It’s difficult for non-programmers to visualize the result of moving specific code to different places within thousands of lines of existing code. 🙂

Thanks, Lucian.

I was out of town for a couple of weeks, so hadn’t responded. I guess I’m looking to move the SIMILAR Articles section upward.

I hope you can help me.

Chris,

Can you check my site on your Mac to see if those issues exist when viewing on an Apple. Everything looks fine on iPhone, but I don’t have a Mac.

Thanks Lucian,

I discovered the solution – I had activated two lightboxes simultaneously on the same post, not knowing that the plugin can handle only one at a time.

Have an awesome evening.

Thank you, Marius.

Always wonderful support from Tagdiv. Happy Christmas and Happy New Year to you and the Tagdiv Team. Here’s to you all and to 2015!

Marius,

I discovered that the php accelerator (APC) was causing some issues (double calls and memory errors). I’ve switched to eAccelerator and it seems to have resolved the issues.

Thanks Marius,

I’m using a workaround, using shortcodes instead of the sidebar. I’m not sure about the incorrect codes and unclosed tags, but I’ll do my best to correct any issues. If you have more detailed info about what you see as being incorrect, please let me know.

Have an awesome night.

Marius,

After deleting the widgdgetized sidebar from my js_composer page (Home Page), I get this error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function wpb_widget_title() in /home/wwwtriby/public_html/Tribyoot/wp-content/plugins/js_composer/include/templates/shortcodes/vc_single_image.php on line 64

It looks like some kind of incompatibility between Tagdiv and js_composer.

Marius,

After some investigation, trial and error, I have discovered that the root of the problem lies with the widgetized sidebar. js_composer loads the sidebar but then does not render/recognize it when the site is rendered front end. I am continuing to test, but it appears that bakery will render the other “elements,” available in its menu, but won’t render the sidebar element properly.

Perhaps the shortcode/code for the widget is not mapped properly? What do you make of it?

Marius, I’m getting really frustrated with this. Here is the latest screenshot of my error:

http://screencast.com/t/9J514og5

I disabled everything but the theme with no improvement. What is it that might be causing this? Any ideas?

Alright. I managed to get it working again.

Thanks.

Have an awesome day.

Marius,

I hate to bring this to you, but the problem has returned. Here is the error message:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function wpb_widget_title() in /home/wwwtriby/public_html/Tribyoot/wp-content/plugins/js_composer/include/templates/shortcodes/vc_widget_sidebar.php on line 25

I hope you can help me resolve this.

Thanks Marius,

Do you have a code tweak to increase the number of Similar Articles as well?

Philip

Thanks. I tried that and have found that apparently certain plugins (i.e. W3 Total Cache) can have issues when other plugins are updated “on top” of them. I believe I must disable W3 and a couple of others while I update Bakery. Then I can re-enable W3 and everything will work fine.

I appreciate the help. Issue is resolved for now.

Have an Awesome Day!

Just a quick added note:

The version of js_composer that came with the latest version of Newspaper seemed to also prevent me from logging in to WordPress normally.

I hope this helps you discover what the issue may be.

Hello, and Merry Christmas!

I wanted to ask about this also, as Slider Revolution is at version 4.6.5 and the theme is at 4.6. Do you have a regularly scheduled update period so that we can make sure patches for Slider are updated with our theme?

Thanks.

Have an Awesome Day!

If you really want to use WPTouch, there is a way, but you must allow WPTouch to populate the mobile version of your site with custom static content or identify the content/pages from within WPTouch.

Alternatively, you can include functionality from your theme by incorporating them into WPTouch.

The best way is to disable ALL plugins in the WPTouch Admin, and then use WPTouch to serve your content in a specific manner, identified in WPTouch Admin, and not determined by your web theme.

This will give you a fast mobile site, and you can identify page by page which pages should be handled by WPTouch and which should be handled by your desktop theme.

Hope this helps

Always impressed with tagDiv support. Thank you for the solution Lucian. Sometimes I’m able to identify the applicable class, div, etc., but when I need help of any sort I know you will provide the answers I need to move forward.

Compliments!

Have an Awesome Day!

Actually, it’s the page itself. I was in error, saying that I need to style the Contact Form. I need to adjust the size/font of the text on that page (but not the text in the Contact Form).

Here: https://tribyoot.org/contact-us/

I’d like to make the font the same as for post content.

Thanks.

Just a quick follow-up. With further testing, it looks like this is a conflict with a plugin I am using called Calendarizeit. Is there any way I can diagnose what the possible conflict may be?

Thanks.

These were the errors I was receiving:

This is my Firefox error

The connection was reset

The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.

The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.
If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer’s network connection.
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

This is from Chrome:

No data received

Unable to load the webpage because the server sent no data.

Error code: ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE

This is Opera (when attempting to access WP Admin)

No data received

Unable to load the webpage because the server sent no data.

This is IE:

This page can’t be displayed

Make sure the web address https://tribyoot.org is correct.
Look for the page with your search engine.
Refresh the page in a few minutes

I don’t get anywhere with Safari either.

Interestingly, I have no problem accessing CatalystCrowdfunding.org or EconEmail.com on the same server in the same version of PHP.

Now that I’ve downgraded PHP, all sites load properly, but I wanted to let you know my experience in case it would help you at TagDiv.

Thanks Lucian,

Another issues has come to my attention. I recently updated my server PHP version to 5.4 (latest available in CPanel) and ran into some rendering issues with Newspaper.

I had to downgrade to 5.3. Which version of PHP is Tagdiv using? Are there some compatibility issues that TagDiv is working on?

Thanks.

Hello,

I have a question. Using Chrome dev tools, I am getting this error in Console:

Mixed Content: The page at ‘https://tribyoot.org/15248/2-year-old-survives-decapitation/’ was loaded over HTTPS, but requested an insecure stylesheet ‘http://tribyoot.org/Tribyoot/wp-content/plugins/oiopub-direct/images/style/output.css’. This request has been blocked; the content must be served over HTTPS.

I have contacted the plugin developer and he cannot find where, in the plugin, the problem could be originating. However, what are the chances that because the Ad area of the theme is using the code from the plugin, that the theme is actually causing this to request an http instead of an https for this plugin (javascript, css, etc.)
