Do you mean that in the Newspaper theme there is no possibility to make navigation inside the page?

Once again: normally I would assign ID to the <h2> on a page and assign a link to this ID to the button. The problem is I do not see how to assign ID to the page element.

I want to share the results, which I’ve got.

1) The request you recommended deleted over 800 entries from wp_postmeta table. As a result, header menu and bottom menu were ruined, all images disappeared at least from the homepage. I didn’t invesigate futher issue. Verdict: this method doesn’t work good.

2) I have seleted tdc_history entries with the following sql request:

SELECT post_id, meta_key
FROM wp_postmeta
WHERE meta_key LIKE ‘tdc_history’
ORDER BY post_id DESC
LIMIT 100;

After that I deleted all found entries and optimized the table.

As a result wp_postmeta table volume reduced from 43 to 7 mb. And as far as I can see, everything works fine.

Hopefully, my experience may be helpfull to anybody else who struggles with database volume growth.

May you also ask developers what is the best (sefest) way to clean these entries – to delete whole entry or to set its meta_value to “0” or to any other recommended value. I would really appreciate this information.

That would be great to have a button to clean the history of changes at any moment. I appreciate having the history of changes at the period of active redesign, but since it is finished I would defenitely prefer to clean history from database. All the more, it can not be cleaned by common plugins.

Some extra information:
If I uncheck “Disable h1 on logo” – there are 3 <h1> on homepage.
If I add <h1> block on homepage, there are 4 <h1>.

So, there are 2 default <h1> that take information from God knows where. Please, recommend how to delete them.

It’s really a pity you do not want to understand a problem. You give me articles with general recomendations about clining standard wp entries (like transients, revisions etc.). Belive me, I know all these recommendations. And this is not the case here.

I show you with scrennshots, that there is definitely a SPECIFIC problem related to tagdiv composer.

Once again – there are enormously huge entries with key TDC_HISTORY in database. In any case 14 entries related to 14 posts that are absent at the site should not occupy over 40 mb of space in database. This is clearly a bug. Do you agree with this?

I suggest that we can together try to understand the reason for such huge entries. I can just delete them, but I would like developers to answer we, why that happened and how is it safe to delete them and what is the best way to do this. I can send you the database to analyse it.

This is what I payed for (36 USD for support renewal). I am not nearly satisfied with recommendation “I do not recommend to delete, but try to delety and lets see what will happens”. This is not the support. Please, take it seriously and let’s find a solution.

Vlad, please read my question. I was asking not about the title of the block, but about the links in the block.

Currently all links are h3, and it is not good for seo, since all page with sucj blocks consists only of H2-H4 text. This is the reason I would like links to be not in <h3> but in <p> tag.

Please, give me recommendation how to do this. May be, it is possible to do it with some editing of the files?

What is “search of SEO plugin” and how to clean it?? I use recommended Yost SEO.

I would appreciate quick response, since multiple h1 is a critical SEO issue.

I very well understand how difficult it is to make any theme compatible with variety of browsers, especially when they are built on different technologies. I am sure, Andrei, that all your customers (including me) have the latest versions of browsers. But we are people who build sites, not that who look them 🙂 And we do not have power to force our users for incessant update towards latest versions of browsers. Especially when some of them do not understand what browser is 🙂 I would close my eyes on any minor incompatibility issues (like pictures are not on the place, slider is now working etc.), but I can’t do it when users can’t see the site at all! When people call you and say “I can’t see your site anymore. What happened?”, you have to find the solution.

Of course, I could think of some hack how to fix this behavior. But you know the theme code from A to Z. And I am sure that your solution is much better than any I could suggest myself.

I got used to the fact that Newspaper support us really one of the best at the market. That is why it was very strange for me to get the response like “this is not our problem”. I wish for Newspaper to remain the world best theme with the world best support 🙂

Andrei, I really enjoyed the theme and the support. But the current situation is really strange to me. I report about a bug. A serious, not a minor bug with a theme in a popular browser. For my site about 15% of visitors use Opera. And every web-site in russian has similar fraction of Opera users.

And what response do I get? “We cannot fix browser’s incompatibilities”. Than tagdiv should specify at the product page that the correct work is guaranted only with latest versions of browsers. However, at the product page at EnvatoMarket I see something very different. There is a list of compatible browsers. There I see IE versions 8-11 and Opera among other. It is not lilsted “Opera 38.0”. It is listed “Opera”. That means customer expect stable work not only with the latest version. Otherwise that should be clearly specified.

And I want to know if the position you stated (“We cannot fix browser’s incompatibilities”) your personal opinion or is it the offcical position of the complany on the point?

I do not argue that theme works fine in opera 38.0. I say that it does not work in Opera 12.14. And I can not force all users to update their browser if they do not wish to do that. Once again – I understand minor bugs in older versions of browsers. But this is not a minor bug, I want to repeat that site is totally unusable because mobile menu covers the screen and may not be closed.

Opera 12.14 is not the latest browser, but it is not that old, it came out in 2014. And many people use it, since it is the latest stable version of Opera before thay made total engine/design revision.

Should I understand your answer that all bugs (even serious ones) concerning not the latest versions of browser are not going to be considered and fixed?
