Chiming in here to report that I also experienced this issue. I didn’t realize that it even was an issue until I received a Google Search Console error email for my site. Extremely frustrating. Disabling the cloud library reversed this issue instantly.
I’d also like to add that from time to time, the plugins associated with the theme (like AMP, tagDIV Composer, etc) turn off without notice or warning, also leading to more Google Search Console errors.
Hi! I had this problem as well because I woke up this morning and all of the plugins associated with my theme had somehow turned themselves off and I’m not sure how long they had been deactivated for.
I had also seen another thread here in the forum that mentioned going to the permalink settings & hitting save after updating the AMP plugin. I noticed all of these issues after receiving an email from Google Search Console that an AMP error had been found.
Hopefully if you reactivate your plugin & resave your permalink settings, you won’t have these issues anymore and can start the validation process for your links.
Hi all,
I wanted to chime back in on this thread and share that I installed Gutenberg on my Newspaper staging site about a week ago, found no errors, and installed it on my live production site.
I have not experienced any errors thus far with my Newspaper theme and Gutenberg, and I’ve been loving using the new editor to customize the format of my posts. My hope is that further releases will not conflict with Gutenberg, as I am extremely excited about this new iteration of the editor.
Hi all. I’m pleased to report this issue has been fixed.
After adding the Cloud Template to my theme, then making it the default, I had to edit the template and reimport the Cloud Template for it to work properly. Hope this is helpful for anyone else experiencing this issue.
I’m still having issues with the attachment template, but I will take the small victories where I can get them!
Thank you for that! Unfortunately, after setting the author template as the default from the cloud templates, the author page only displays the header and the footer of the page, no articles or other content, including the author profile.
Is there something else that I’m missing?
I am also having this problem! I can view the stats though if I just navigate to the Jetpack dashboard instead of stats, but yes, it is an annoyance.
Do you think that this also applies to the attachment templates? Just trying to manage my expectations.
@Sean Thank you, it took it about 3 hours to show up, in case anyone else is having this issue.
Thank you, Alastair. I’ve tried to replace the PHP file with the old code and no images are loading, not even the old ones. Fingers crossed for a solution!
Hi,
I’ve followed the instructions as given to update the Instagram widget in my footer, however, it is no longer retrieving any images. http://rascalhoney.com
I am also experiencing this issues. I’ve just deactivated the AMP plugin until I can resolve the issues. Following this thread in the hope there’s a solution.
