Check your META data in the source (“view source”) for your page to see if correct. use the Facebook debug tool to check the page for errors.

We use the Disqus plugin with our site with no issue, but we’re NOT using the “load on scroll” which is sometimes called “lazy load” as that never seems to work consistently — even mod_pagespeed from Google doesn’t work consistently where we sometimes have blank images. Not theme related, but due to the fact a lot of things get loaded as “async” for quicker loading these days, and this can cause things to load in wrong order even if theme trying to load in right order.

You might try simply using it without the load on scroll feature.

You will likely want to set up your home page the way you want it. The demo content is just to help you jump start; so you would usually go into the settings and adjust things the way you want; experiment with home page layout; put some of your own test content in there, etc. Some cases it’s easier to work WITHOUT the demo content, meaning default settings, and start with just couple of your own test pages, and images, so you don’t have to stumble over all the temporary content.

Use the visual composer which comes with the theme as it’s optimized to work with theme and is bundled version, and does not require a license code.

Theme already uses a page builder plugin, and likely there is a conflict between trying to use two such systems together. Kind of like using two SEO plugins, or two social media plugins; not good idea. 🙂

CTR has to do with the ads being served not the theme. Changing to “responsive” ads might affect CTR, but Google is starting to move in that direction as “default” anyway. We have seen CTR drop by 80% over past 3-4 years due to various adblock plugins, sadly.

YOAST SEO lets you set a default image for homepage. With posts, you should select a featured image so it’s set as the default OG:image (look at your page source to see how that works in practice), or FB will grab random image from page.

When you choose the page template with slider, you don’t need to also add another slider. So, you might change the page template for blank, and then you’d only have the one slider as you’d defined it 🙂

What META info are you missing?

To create meta data for the home page, you need to enter that on the “page” used for the home page. Highly recommended is the YOAST SEO plugin which lets you set the description, and all other meta data for your home page and also show preview of the SERPS snippet 🙂

Did you try turning off any plugins to see if they are causing a JavaScript/Ajax issue? I don’t have an issue with search on my site, on either my iPad Air or iPhone 6, or MacBook Pro.

Good idea to use the Firefox/Firebug or Chrome developer tools, as you can highlight something on the page, and see what style/class that is, then simply apply a gradient CSS to that class. (Even with that I sometimes can’t figure it out …. but most of the time works great!)

Works for me in IE11/Win7-64; although I blocked the “pop-up” you have on home page.

Image uploading managed by WordPress and your hosting account, not by the theme. Likely best to try a different browser, try clearing your browser cache, etc.

I sometimes get an error uploading a file in WordPress since WP 3.9 came out, for no apparent reason. I usually just try loading it again. Works. Try the “locate file” option and then try the drag and drop version.

It’s usually something stupid in the way WP setup their media manager after 3.9, and I’ve seen it on varied websites I manage, different themes, etc.

One workaround I’ve heard is to save a draft first, as it “might” be the auto save conflicting with the media uploader; meaning you can’t upload image if WP is auto saving a post you’re working on.

If you look at the page source on the demo page you reference, there is no og:tag for description on the page; Facebook is pulling that off the page, unless I’m mistaken.

You control og tags for social media using a plugin like YOAST SEO, which allows you to setup how you want snippets for OG tags to be populated. Often this defaults from the “excerpt” box on the page, which is how we do it here, as it allows us to create a better snippet for both SERPS and social media.

The theme doesn’t create OG description tags, so obviously you need to use the recommended plugins like YOAST SEO or comparable to create the social media meta tags you want to be found in both SERPS and for social media.

Looking at the “page source” is often the best way to understand WHAT is actually on the page and available for social media to scrape.

Yoast has a great video SEO add-on for Yoast SEO, that works very well for managing YouTube and other video tags for social media.

I believe when you use a YouTube URL in the theme with video template it does put the tag in the META data, but might only be for the image/thumbnail.

simply enter the code from your ThemeForest purchase. It’s not a bug. It’s to help fight piracy of WP themes, prevalent on file sharing networks.

Did you put the calls to Google for the open sans font at bottom of the style.css file?

That would likely be reason for the lack of fonts in Firefox.

I didn’t have the issue with td-bootstrap.css since if PT Sans isn’t being loaded from Google, it falls back to sans serif anyway. I suppose there might be a post type which uses that … but I didn’t end up having issue with it.

I don’t think I mentioned anywhere that in my style.css I also put open sans font stack in the first body class so it would be “default” font if no other font specified.

Probably need to adjust the software you’re using to create the cache.

Oh, Sanisoft follow up message said he is *not* going to add that feature.

However, you can contact him to “add” the feature for billable hourly rate to make custom version of plugin.

SO, that is what I’d do, unless you can find better solution.

Seems like you should be able to somehow do a database edit to re-align the custom field to clone into the featured image data field, but I have no advice on that. You would have to consult a dbase expert for that.

you are correct on Auto Post Thumbnail PRO; supposedly he’s working on adding the feature when I asked about that several months back, but looks like it’s not yet a feature. I believe he’s planning on it, for just such an issue, and for the old method of using custom field “image” or “featured_image” and your image field, etc.

I have recommended couple of plugins so many times on the forum it should be a sticky by now 🙂

1) Auto Post Thumbnail PRO – will generate a featured image from the first image in each post (http://codecanyon.net/item/auto-post-thumbnail-pro/4322624)

2) Thumbnail Upscale – to make larger images to match theme sizes from existing mis-matched smaller sizes (e.g., if your image is 600×400, this would give you the larger sizes)

3) Use the Regenerate Thumbnails plugin as needed with the above.

I used both of these to transfer from a Woo Canvas setup to Newspaper, as one example.
