Hi,
I don’t think that will work.
If you want to use a custom image in the blocks, when posts don’t have a featured image set, you could upload the image in the theme panel -> https://prnt.sc/Bz3TwCgBzJ1X That’s exactly why we added that option. Please try it.
Thank you!
There’s still something wrong. The Sucuri test still finds this -> https://prnt.sc/FOt2OGWKnwhF
If I check in the homepage there is a raw HTML which loads this script -> https://prnt.sc/jTP0J5UTTi4R
So it seems to be in the page content. If you edit the homepage with the composer that raw HTML should be visible, it’s right at the top of the page in the first row. Could you please check there?
Hi,
The latest theme update contains the fix for both the vulnerabilities you mentioned -> https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-changelog/ Please update the theme.
Thank you!
Hi,
That depends on how you added that Company info section.
If you want it below the tabs, not the title, like in your screenshot, then you must enter that Company info section inside the page displayed in the first tab, the Overview page.
Check which page is displayed in the first tab -> https://prnt.sc/2X9yvmAyKpyn Edit that page with the composer and add the Company info in it, at the top -> https://prnt.sc/_Ae9qLKcnQjq Then it will be displayed where you want.
Thank you!
That’s great news.
The author box is this one in the sidebar -> https://prnt.sc/POyP8l685K_d Are you referring to the position of the author box? Everything can be moved if you edit the post template with the composer.
Maybe I am misunderstanding, could you please explain the issue more?
Hi,
So the theme is installed, but after you activate it the error happens? I’m checking your website now and it seems to function correctly. I see the theme is installed, and a theme demo was also installed. Did you perhaps solve the problem? If there are still issues let me know.
Thank you!
Not everyone. That issue happens only when using infinite load for posts. But we’ll see what we can do about in the next theme update, it’s a priority issue. We are very sorry for the situation.
In the meantime I’ve got confirmation from Wordfence and WPScan that they acknowledged the issue was fixed:
https://wpscan.com/vulnerability/601ad8e7-0ebf-4726-bfcf-b27b9d109137/
Maybe your website has been infected with malware. Updating the theme won’t fix it. Please test the website with the Sucuri live scanner -> https://sitecheck.sucuri.net/
If it detects malware, then I strongly recommend to immediately install the Wordfence plugin -> https://wordpress.org/plugins/wordfence/ and scan the website with it as soon as possible -> https://www.wordfence.com/help/scan/ if you haven’t already.
Could you provide a link to the website?
Hi,
The first thing I see is that the required composer plugin isn’t active on the website. Please install it from the theme plugins panel -> https://prnt.sc/7P2I8thU8xeb Most of the theme’s functionality and features depend on the composer, so it should be active.
Then you can choose what you want to use, a simpler basic design based on the standard pack plugin, or a more advanced and complex design based on the cloud library -> https://tagdiv.com/why-tagdiv-cloud-library-is-a-better-alternative-to-the-standard-pack/
To provide a bit of context, the theme by itself with none of the theme plugins active is basically useless. The composer plugin provides the base. Then there are 2 directions, the cloud library or the standard pack, these add the extra capabilities.
I also noticed that you are using AMP -> https://prnt.sc/yhj7NKjJtRHv I rarely see AMP used anymore. But if you want to use it, then we recommend using it together with our mobile theme -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-amp-plugin-tutorial/
Let me know.
Thank you!
Hi,
The easiest way to do that is like this:
Click on the row that contains those columns and activate this option -> https://prnt.sc/7Nah0MzBjn3b
On the first column set the order to 3 -> https://prnt.sc/_s30ntkzhXwj
On the second to 1 -> https://prnt.sc/tNrLynDAhsT7
On the third to 2 -> https://prnt.sc/0pjTrwJATJOc
And on the fourth to 4 -> https://prnt.sc/xiOJQXlqo0IB
Then it should look as you want. Please try it.
As a note, on mobile please set the row to it’s initial layout -> https://prnt.sc/3R8ImUF0s6fk
Or, if you want to change the order on mobile also, set it to this one -> https://prnt.sc/V1YaRnf9tZJi
Thank you!
Usually all I can do is in such cases is to identify what is causing the problem, by checking with the browser inspector. In the case from above and in most of the cases, the theme was being blocked by a firewall from the hosting side. And only the hosting can fix it.
If you want I’ll take a look. You can send an email as well and I’ll check as soon as possible.
Thank you!
Yes there is. Please send them by email at contact@tagdiv.com And please paste a link to this topic in the email, so I know what it’s about. I’ll check as soon as possible.
Hi,
I see you are using the latest theme version. You can also use the latest wordpress version, the theme works fine with it. Most of our users use wordpress 7, the latest version.
I’ll need more details about the issues. As a website visitor I see just one error in the browser console, in the homepage -> https://prnt.sc/AjeHSUfIvrZd which seems to be related to an ad code used in the page. There are no other errors where I checked.
And the loading speed that I’m seeing is very good, on average it’s between half a second to a second -> https://prnt.sc/0UL4HsZBKNUZ
Please let me know how I can see the issues that you are reporting. In case I need to log in to see the issues, then I suggest to send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login.
Thank you!
Hi,
Sure you can, you can easily revert to the previous theme version right from the theme updates panel. The chances of having issues after updating are very low however. There’s isn’t much that could go wrong. I suggest trying it. In case there are any problems let know.
Thank you!
Hi,
Could be. I’ll take a look at it, please provide a link so I can inspect the table and images. Surely a solution can be found.
Let me know.
Thank you!
Hi,
@Tyskschlager.dk
There wasn’t an actual solution. The problem was happening when the ACF plugin was active. The user didn’t require the ACF plugin anymore so it was deactivated and the issue was solved. I haven’t investigated further.
However, if you are using the ACF plugin and it’s required, and the same warnings are displayed, I’ll investigate it more. Let me know via email at contact@tagdiv.com I’ll need admin login for the website.
Thank you!
Hi,
I’m fine, thank you for asking. I hope everything is fine for you as well.
No problem, glad to help with what I can.
Changing that text is possible. In the composer after clicking on that block, please check in the Layout tab and scroll all the way down, the option is here -> https://prnt.sc/ocz0RUPwePx2 You can set the text you want there.
As a tip, sometimes this search function from here can be useful -> https://prnt.sc/6UeShWUdd_Yq After you click on a block in the composer you can use that search to find settings faster. Like in this case, searching for button will reveal where there are settings for buttons within the block, by marking them with a red dot -> https://prnt.sc/XrHTahkCrDgF It’s quite handy.
Let me know if I can help with something else.
Thank you!
Hi,
Looks fine to me -> https://prnt.sc/77f2AXXQuCtW If there were design issues and there was code displayed, then most likely the required theme plugins weren’t updated or active.
Updating the theme using the automatic update method -> https://prnt.sc/6kml6pM1v_Lc should have updated the plugins as well. But if you updated manually perhaps, then the theme plugins must be updated/activated manually as well.
Thank you!
Hi,
That option you mentioned refers to the block title -> https://prnt.sc/4V3adrcJP3gq So not the article title. Blocks 1 to 25 are the older standard blocks, we haven’t added new features for them since we added the flex blocks.
If you want to be able to customize blocks in detail, please use flex blocks. Like these ones which you can import from the cloud library -> https://cloud.tagdiv.com/#/load/Blocks
Flex blocks have many more options, including for setting a color for the article titles -> https://prnt.sc/SQLf6kQuhtEM
Let me know if I can help more.
Thank you!
Hi,
Infinite loads for posts loads one post at a time once the previous post ends. The new posts are loaded with ajax in an iframe. And they are loaded entirely, the head content is loaded as well, meaning that this could indeed happen since the analytics code is loaded in the head.
However, I have so solution for this issue unfortunately. The infinite load feature was built a long time ago, and for now there aren’t any plans to rework it. I’ll mark it for further testing, maybe something could be done about it in a future update. Hopefully a solution can be found.
Thank you!
I managed to find a solution eventually. I added the code in a PHP snippet on your website. Now the featured image should not appear anymore in the product page -> https://prnt.sc/k5xwEqDnJa2E Pleas check it as well.
Thank you!
Wordfence should mark it as fixed soon. The issue affected the composer from the Newspaper theme, which was fixed -> https://patchstack.com/database/wordpress/plugin/td-composer/vulnerability/wordpress-tagdiv-composer-plugin-5-4-3-reflected-cross-site-scripting-xss-vulnerability
Today a new update was released for Newsmag -> https://tagdiv.com/newsmag/ The composer is now version 5.4.6. Please update the theme and it will be fine.
The new update should be available now in the theme updates panel-> https://prnt.sc/1Ht5uOVL4ISe and also on the themeforest website. More about it here -> https://tagdiv.com/newsmag/
Hi,
Thank you for reporting the issue and for the detailed information. I’ll make a note of this issue and it will be fixed.
Thanks again.
Hi,
From what I see that’s a search query made by a bot called Applebot. Except the fact that it takes longer to complete, I see no problem with it. Any person, or bot, or automated tool, can perform a search on a wordpress website, unless this function is specifically disabled.
If there are many similar search requests from bots, I suggest looking into protecting the website from them more. You could disallow search queries using the robots file, as mentioned in this guide -> https://www.searchenginejournal.com/robots-txt-wordpress/544255/ -> https://prnt.sc/_y68GwchjiyD That Applebot request from your example looks like a legit bot, it should respect the disallow.
Thank you!
