Please fix this. It’s urgent.
Thank you Calin. Hopefully, this can be solved soon.
Hi Calin,
As I mentioned before, for us the featured image field is missing when editing the post on mobile device. On desktop it is fine.
The problem can be observed using Developer tool on a desktop browser as well (you need to switch to mobile device and refresh the page). Can you check this one please?
We have a similar issues. When editing a post, the title is now displayed in small font. In addition and more importantly, there is no option to add a featured image when editing a post on mobile device.
Hello Vlad,
We are unable to turn on Standard mode in AMP plugin. You already suggested in another topic to try disabling plugins. Unfortunately, that is not an option on a live site. I was wondering if it is possible to use Standard mode in AMP plugin with Newspaper theme at all because there were several posters mentioning they couldn’t turn Standard mode. Has it been tested before?
What we are looking for is to use the AMP version of the site for all mobile traffic. There is an option inside AMP plugin to redirect mobile users to AMP version but that does not work with Google Page Insight.
Hello,
Have you been able to turn on Standard mode in AMP plugin?
The only problem we have observed so far is social share icons are not displayed on mobile and AMP pages.
Has this worked?
This post suggests it’s a plugin issue https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/amp-template-mode/
The above doesn’t really answer the question. We have the same issue as we cannot switch to Standard Mode in AMP plugin (https://amp-wp.org/documentation/getting-started/standard/). It automatically switches back to Transitional even though it says “Your active theme is known to work well in standard mode.” This question was asked by OP to the plugin creators on the WordPress forum (https://wordpress.org/support/topic/switching-transitional-mode-to-standard-and-amp1-problem/) but they told to ask the theme author.
Is there a way to use Standard Mode in AMP plugin with Newspaper theme?
Sorted. Nevermind.
Just to clarify, the issue is still there when “Show on AMP” is enabled.
Don’t know what happened but after deactivating and activating the mobile theme and AMP plugin for a few times, post views started to be counted.
