alexavaughn Agreed. It’s one thing to experience the website going down because of some hosting or code hiccup. It’s quite another to be publicly accused of something you didn’t do and have no control over how many of your own readers see it and maybe never come back.

alexavaughn After hours of trial and error, I finally got my website back up by deactivating the Newspaper 11 theme and reactivating my old 8.7 Newspaper theme. Relieved to have the website back up.
No matter the coding/API/whatever led to this nightmare, there really isn’t any good excuse for allowing that screen alleging that we all pirated your theme to stay up. There really wasn’t anyone in the last 10 hours who could have at least changed it to a generic error page? That’s ridiculous.
alexavaughn I can’t believe they won’t even change this defamatory automatic message while the rest of us spend hours trying to figure out how to get our website back. Awful.
alexavaughn Many of us have already tried to reactivate the theme with the purchase code and it’s not working. Could you guys at least fix this horrific screen that makes my website and brand sound like it’s doing something so illegal and pirated the whole website got taken down? WTF.
alexavaughn My website won’t even allow me to re-install previous versions. I tried! So not even that is working. This whole thing is such a nightmare.
alexavaughn Man, I tried reinstalling an older version of the theme so I could try one of the solutions here and it won’t even let me. I’ve tried. This whole theme is completely screwed. I went to sleep after trying to fix this last night hoping in the morning some code on their end would be fixed or at least a support message would be in my email. Nothing. Geez. I just feel so humiliated by this. Extremely unprofessional and now I need to spend who knows how long redesigning my website with another theme.

alexavaughn I reset the registration and cleared cache but I still have this big red UNREGISTERED thing flashing on my backend. Very upsetting. I see some of you got your websites online. I don’t know what else to do with mine (theneedling.com).
alexavaughn Yes, I’m very embarrassed at the message they have on my website right now. Make me seem cheap and fraudulent when I bought and keep this thing updated exactly how I should. I’ve re-activated my theme with the purchase code and at first it says everything is activated. But then it still says “UNREGISTERED” at the top. Part of me wants to buy a new license just to see if that would work instead, but I don’t want to give more money to something this screwed up. Will likely be thinking of a whole new website redesign with a new theme so I don’t have to deal with this BS again.
alexavaughn Just saying the same happened to me too! Thanks for the advice. Will try to apply. It really pisses me off that the website is not only down but there’s this basically defamatory message on there that I have some pirated copy of the theme. WTF? I bought it fair and square here, have it hooked into my WordPress CMS for updates. I don’t even know if I want to keep this theme anymore. Screw this shit.
