I just noticed the URL is going to livelovelocalmi.com/tds-login-register/ when I click on Subscribe Now on my mobile site? How and why?!

I have the same exact settings for mobile that I do on the desktop for the subscribe button and plan option. How is this going to a blank login-register?

Bettina,

This makes no sense to me. You have not answered my questions.

1. I have stripe, but there is nothing in opt-in-builder that is showing me the functionality of automatic renewals at the end of the period. Where do I find this information to configure this in opt-in-builder? I cannot manually update charges on a monthly an annual basis, as this is going to grow into the thousands.

2. I have no idea what you are saying. And what should be like that? Am I forced to have TWO account profiles for EACH user? One that is for the store and to upload events AND one that is for membership? I’m so confused with this. It is making the functionality of my site almost insufferable with paid products. I cannot have two profile sections for each user. That will be massive and confusing pain for everyone involved. How do I integrate the two account sections so everything is under ONE profile for each user?

Thank you.

I’m following up on this because I’ve not been able to find an alternative solution and woocommerce cannot give me what I need with a guarantee that it will work with tagdiv.

1. If I do membership for my site through Opt-in builder, I need to know that I can add content that is only viewable to those who have subscribed. This is a magazine, so I would need it to run like any other media where there are free articles, but they have to purchase a subscription in order to read others. This is unlimited with opt-in builder, yes?

2. To clarify, you do not integrate with woocommerce but I do need to keep my woocommerce store live for other products that are not membership based. How does this integrate with my current account login and account page? Does opt-in builder membership page get integrated to my current account page or are my subscribers going to have two separate account pages?

3. Where do I find the opt-in builder plugin?

Thanks for your guidance on this.

UPDATE: I’ve operated the site with all four of the Event Calendar plugins deactivated over today and I’m still having the same issue. I was told from your end previously when we were having the issues with the CPT and tagdiv edit that the Events Calendar plugin was causing all of the issues. It does affect whether or not we can edit in tagDiv, but it’s not the root cause. Something else related to the mobile page is causing the formatting break. The mobile page seems to be overriding the homepage and shop page somehow. When we fix either the desktop or mobile page, the other breaks. It happens with or without Events Calendar activated/deactivated. And by fix, I mean we go into the tagdiv and resave the page. It fixes the formatting on whatever page we are resaving, then breaks the formatting of the other (mobile or desktop). So only one format is functioning properly at any given time – either the desktop or mobile. They will not function properly together. Please advise on how we can remedy this. I have also submitted a ticket to the Events Calendar company with regard to the issue. Mobile theme issue is on your end, however. I have sent an email with the credentials to get into my site. But please let me know when you do because it’s going to break the formatting and I will need to go in and make sure to reset it so that my shop page doesn’t go wonky for my ads.

Secondly, this is also marketed as no coding skills needed. I’m not a developer, that’s why I use plugins and why plugins are built. I also had trouble with your CPT component for a basic submission page and had to search for a plugin that wouldn’t break with your template. Why put so much effort into building a product that breaks with basic WordPress plugins? Makes zero sense to me. Be upfront with potential customers about the limitations of this template. We are trying to run businesses here and not being upfront with the fact that basic plugins don’t work is beyond frustrating after months of trying to develop this site. It’s only costing me money at this point on top of the stress of running ads that are useless because the formatting of the site is screwed up when they click the link!

That doesn’t work for me. You do not have anything remotely close to the events calendar for me to use as a template to add an events calendar or to have public submissions of events to automatically add to my events calendar. So basically, you’re telling me that I made a poor decision building my site on your platform because it’s constantly breaking format and costing me sales. Great to know after the fact and all the time an issues building this thing.

You need to place a public notice that your platform doesn’t work with just about every plugin available to make a site fully functional outside of a basic static site. This is marketed as THE magazine template, but so many plugins don’t work with this. This issue is costing me customers and now money and time because now I have to rebuild on a new platform. Oh well for me I guess. SO not happy!

I would like to add to this. I host my podcast through buzzsprout and I’ve tried three different plugins tonight and nothing works, including Buzzsprouts plugin. I will do what was suggested here with embedding spotify and making a landing page where we can be found. But what a pain that I have to do this with every episode and not have it automatically update with a feed.

They also included this information:

Use hashed versions of information your customers have provided to your business, like an email address or phone number, to match your app users to people on Facebook. This can help you increase conversions and custom audience size. All customer information is automatically hashed before coming to Facebook. Turn on the Advanced Matching settings of the customer information you’d like to share with Facebook. The changes take effect immediately for apps updated to the Facebook SDK version 5.8 or late

I played with a lot today and came up with a format that is acceptable for now, but if there is any way to create a template for this or format it differently, I’d appreciate the knowledge and for you to direct me to it. This via tagdiv is incredibly limited and doesn’t look very professional. Thank you!

Okay, wonderful. thank you for the information.

As a side note, we had to turn mobile theme off because it doesn’t work with editing Pages on mobile and we do not have the capability to turn that off for pages like we could in posts (per my previous ticket and answer from you on this). If we turn mobile theme back on, our other pages will unformat. I need a way to edit this account page for mobile. I tried formatting the page in an aesthtic way in WordPress editor and it worked just fine, but then I could not edit the mobile page that way either and the formatting was much like you see in this screenshot. Thanks.

Hi again, We added WPForms as a plugin (I purchased it) and was going through the process to add it to the site. However, when attempting to open the WP editor to edit the content of the column text element and paste the form shortcode, the editor loads indefinitely and does not open. We cleared our cache, disabled all non-essential plugins, and made sure the theme was up to date and still the window just buffers. Would you please take a look at that? I’ve sent the credentials in an email.

I deleted the cpt information because it’s just not making sense to me. After two days of trying, I cannot get it to work. I decided to go with the plugin instead. This is the last element I need to launch my site. Please advise.

Thank you!

Okay great. I’m going to go with the contact forms pre-made throught the link that you sent. This is the final step for me to launch my site, so I’m going to try this today and see how it goes. If that doesn’t work for me, I’ll message you back and you can take a look.

Thanks so much for your help!

One more thing with this: is there another plugin that works well with tagdiv (won’t break it) that can be used if I can’t get this to work that may be a bit simpler for basic contact forms?

Thanks.

ThrustMedia
tagDiv Member

Okay. I set up two cpt and named one contact and one media for the two different front-end form submissions that I have (see screenshots). I’m not really clear on taxonomies for these because I don’t need them. Both are basic form submissions with input fields.

I added those titles to each of the respective pages and created the pages on a cpt blank template. I’m still getting nothing when I test the submit. I also don’t have the url like you have in your link above. It didn’t create it that way. How do I change that?

I’ve included screenshots here of what I’ve done again (progression of). Any guidance is appreciated. The documentation isn’t very clear on this for me and I’m very confused. I get the concept of this for much more involved pages, but I’ve never worked with cpt before and I’m at a loss as to how this is not working. I’m very confused on this. Thank you.

Hi there. I played around with it for a while last night and finally got it to look a decent enough way, but it’s a really odd edit because things don’t drop and place like I want them to. It took me hours to get it to look like it does in the screen shot. I cannot find anything specific related to the top menu in the editor.

I can’t get things to move up or down or left or right very easily. If I lick on align right, everything moves to the very far right (where the cart icon is), and I cannot move any of the other elements to place them properly or align them properly.

How it is now is not how I really want it to look, I’d really like it to look like your demo 12 and add a few more elements, but it’s proving a challenge.

here is a screenshot of my struggle with trying to add the woo login at the top. this is how it placed and I cannot get it to move up or down at all and can only get it to move to the very far right when I want it placed where the current login is located:

Hi Anamaria,

I’ve configured this for both my contact page and my form submission page. The instructions are a bit confusing since I’m not building a page for people to post articles, bit to submit an informational form.

I’ve added my custom fields through input, have configured the submit button, but when I test both forms and click submit after putting in content, nothing happens. It doesn’t submit, give a message, or redirect. Both of the pages are published.

What am I missing? Here is a link to view the screenshots with all the fields under the submit button completed:

So this funciton isn’t only related to when they submit a post? Or is the form also considered a post?

Thanks.

I figured it out. Thank you!
