Thank you for the answer however can you clarify by what you mean that the settings are not saved?
Thank you
Go to the page you are trying to fix.
Then go edit with Tagdiv Composer
Then go to the element section of the flex block section
Then go to filter
Then change Category filter to : category-current category
Then save
This is what I did and it fixed the issue. I hope it does the same for you.
Can I change what the search looks for? It seems it looks for words in the title.. I would like to know if this is able to be modified to something else and if so how.
I have had this situation resolved..
I think I may have done a poor job in explaining the issue.
The issue is that when you go to one of the menu items. In this example Latin America and Sports they are showing the same articles instead of the articles appropriate for that menu title.
So Latin America should be showing Latin America Articles that are under that topic and Sports should show sports articles under that topic
The site used to show this appropriately but somewhere along the way, I must have made an error and cannot get the right articles under the right menu title.
My limited understanding, and this may be wrong, is that the reason for this is because it is set as a global setting instead of the Category Template setting for that particular menu title.
Can you let know how I can get the appropriate articles under the particular title?
I can send you snippets of what I mean if that makes it more clear but I forget how to upload those
Thank you for the answer, can you tell me what search options the search bar is able to look for and how to change it?
Is their an answer to this issue I am having with the right side bar as well as mobile view in posts only.
The site displays correctly for pages.. it only seems to be an issue with posts
I deactivated AMP but the problem still exsists
After looking into it further it seems that the posts are showing in mobile mode. Could this be because of AMP plugin? Does newspaper theme need a AMP Plugin?
This is what I am seeing on this post.. but it effects them all.. You will or should notice that there isn’t a right side bar
This was the post: https://ticotimes.net/2022/06/17/costa-rica-completes-successful-environmental-labeling-project
But all post are viewed the same
I asked a friend of mine in Costa Rica if he is seeing the same I am and it seems he is.
Could there be a reason it displays on your computer but not ours that I am not aware of?

I will look into making the change to WP Super Cache however it seems weird as I thought theme should be responsive regardless of cache, as this should be done with CSS media queries and not with a completely different version. Am I incorrect in my thinking?

Hi Vlad
Thanks for your response. I reached out to Ad Thrive – our ad partner here about your advice and suggestions. Here is there reply

_____________________________________________
The most important thing I want to mention is that all of your AdThrive ads, including any resources (links, scripts, etc.), are loading asynchronously (after your content). So your ads never interfere with how quickly your readers can begin viewing your content. This means that those resources will be visible on speed tests, but they do not impact user-centric speed metrics. This includes all third-party ad-related resources, which may sometimes fail during the bidding process – but this won’t have any impact on your site.
All-in-all your AdThrive Ads are working great and are being delivered to your readers as optimally as possible.
But like I mentioned, your ads are waiting for your content to load, so any changes you can make to speed up your content will also speed up your ads.
With that said, we’re able to consistently reproduce the long delays on all of the pages that we’ve tested. Likewise, blocking the request for effects.js allows your AdThrive ads to load immediately after your content, without any exceptionally long delays.
Here’s another example of the effects.js file pending for 5.39 seconds and then failing:
Once that file fails as a 404, the final ad resources (as well as ReCaptcha, which is not part of your ads) finish loading and allow the ad creatives to fill, shown here:
However, if we block the request for effects.js entirely, the ads begin filling as soon as your main content has finished. Note in the waterfall that the ads load seamlessly, without an extensive delay on those final resources.
We’re also able to reproduce this issue when ads are completely blocked from loading on the page, so it’s a safe bet that your AdThrive ads aren’t causing the file to fail.
With all of this in mind, we recommend working with your developer to determine why the effects.js file is 404ing. In addition to impacting the performance and earnings of your ads, it may also be delaying other components on your site, or impacting some of the features related to your theme.
If you have any questions about this, please let us know! We’re here to help any way we can.

Vlad
Thanks.. it was the main page so getting the error was time sensitive so I redid that part of the site to get it working. Please excuse not notifying you of this change.
Here is a dropbox link where you can see the images of the issue

Thank you for the response. Can you tell me specifically how I can do this? Every time I make a change to the filter using Tagdiv it changes the category on the entire site and not just on that particular page
. For example when I change the filter for fishing, it changes them on every submenu on the site so that now the surfing section is showing the fishing articles even though the filter still says surfing
I look at the category template and its I believe I have it on the single option and not the global.
I have also tried to use the edit category option but that did not seem to have any effect.
If you go to ticotimes.5e.cr and look under the travel menu header, you will see what I mean.
What I am looking to do is just have each category show just its articles. So surfing would show only articles about surfing, fishing would only show articles about fishing etc.

Hi Bettina
Thank you for your quick response. I cleared the cache but still seem to have the issue on both desktop and mobile
Is their a way to send or upload to you the 2 different images I see when in the 2 modes? I have a snippet of the 2 different looks.
Thanks
can you send me a link on how to do that?
